"I never write reviews but I feel I need to on this one. The 3 guys that came to move my piano were very nice but not competent. There are MANY scrapes on my antique piano and they actually knocked the ivory off one of the keys. More than once, I was so afraid they were going to drop it and do even more damage. Very unhappy. Also one of the guys kept dropping the f-bomb during the move while I was standing next to him. Not very professional.any I wish I went with another moving company. Look at my photos. Those are deep digs into the wood that were done during the move. Not good. :("

"Incredibly unprofessional experience. Two movers arrived who barely spoke English and refused to listen to my clear explanation of how the piano had previously fit into the elevator. They called me inappropriate and offensive names in Spanish directly to my face, assuming I wouldn’t understand. Ultimately, they gave up, leaving my piano stranded in the hallway of my building. After refusing to complete the job, I received harassing and vulgar text messages from the company’s owner (screenshots available). The owner even made bizarre threats about sharing my address with my building super, which had absolutely nothing to do with moving my piano. Their conduct was wildly unprofessional, rude, and hostile. I would never trust this company to handle anything again. If you value respectful, competent service, look elsewhere. No customer deserves to be treated like this simply because the movers refused to do the job correctly."

"Total nightmare! We made an International move and it took them 13 hours to finish. Our condo was 90% pre packed before they arrived. Every shoe was boxed, clothing was on hangers to go into wardrobe boxes, folded clothing was packed in totes. No appliances, sofas were wrapped and delivered from the upholster on the day of our move, beds were dismantled. We were promised the shipping container would be loaded and sealed at our door and parking arrangements were made in advance. This did not happen, our belongings were loaded in their trucks and taken to their facility where the empty shipping container sat. They were the last people to handle our belongings until the sealed container arrived at our front door in Europe. The container was not opened in customs, just scanned. The company here upon delivery did not unpack our boxes, we did. Much to our dismay we discovered that personal information and valuables were missing. The boxes we had pre packed and sealed were opened and resealed, the now gaps were filled with THEIR packing material. These were restricted items that we could not bring aboard our flight. Now we are without valuable family heirlooms and our personal information is God only knows where. They have constantly ignored correspondence other than to say that the entire packing crew is no longer employed by them, and the customer service rep is also no longer employed there. We cannot even get billing information! We had to pay extra for being overweight yet the container when it arrived here was far from being full. Trying to track your identity is impossible from Europe as most sites are blocked and COVID 19 has made it impossible to travel. Until we can safely get back to the states we can only tell our story to make everyone aware of this business. For now, we will be filing a complaint with the BBB."

"The confident professionalism of the Barr Brothers movers is very memorable. My wife and I downsized from a house to an apartment in White Plains after living in a house for 46 years. It was a very hard process for us, as the purging, giving away, tag sale, and decisions on what to bring to the apartment were overwhelming and something we never faced before. But, as I said, the quiet, confident professionalism of Barr Brothers saw us through. Their attitude, which they exuded, was, "Don't worry, we got this." And they did. They helped with organizing advice and helped practically with boxes. I wanted to have everything packed for the movers, but the day of the move had a lot of stuff of awkward sizes still undone. They tackled that task cheerfully and proficiently. We have a valuable antique, heavy six foot chest with delicate legs. They moved it skillfully and perfectly. The many fragile small items made the move with no damage to anything whatsoever. As other reviewers noted, they set up whatever needed setting up quickly so as not to delay the move. Their price was fair, and definitely earned. When I read reviews, I check the date of the reviews. The reviews with lower ratings are aged -- the contemporary Barr Brothers know what they're doing and deserve your call."

"There deceitful n lie don't use them . They store ur home furnishings with other peoples stuff n they don't tell u n its not in ur contract . I spoke with josh n told him "I want to b reimbursed for everything I had to throw out "n he said thats not happening ""I said there's nothing in the contract that states you can share our unit we're paying for it and he said ""and there's nothing in the contract that says we can't share."""The guy was a total asshole.
