Bill Rogers was responsive to my emails and calls, showed up on time, and was extremely professional.  He had the right equipment and removed some components from the piano before moving it, thereby ensuring safe transport.  He reassembled it in my den, and there it sits until my floor refinisher and painters are done with the living room.  I will definitely call him to return it to my living room once the work is completed in my house. Since I have never had a piano moved, I'm not a good judge as to the fairness of the cost, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since everything else was excellent.

Bill Rogers was very communicative throughout the entire process from pricing to scheduling and moving the day of. I unfortunately underestimated the amount of space I had to turn the piano from my apartment to the stairs. Bill and Scott still managed to move my piano with the utmost of care down one flight of stairs. At the destination, they easily moved it into the house without having to remove the storm door and inside door (which the previous piano movers did and didn't put the door back). Bill is obviously experienced and it shows that he enjoys what he does. They came early and the move was quick and very efficient. On top of that, Bill has a very pleasant demeanor and rapport with his customers. I will definitely use them for all of my piano moving needs and have also scheduled an appointment with them to tune my piano.

We had to change dates a few times due to weather, etc. bill was flexible and understanding. He and his helper met my husband, on time, at the place where the piano was located, and moved it roughly 40 miles to my home. They called me when they were approx. 5 miles away... They were timely, neat, courteous, and careful. I would hire them again without hesitation. I plan to have Bill come back and tune my piano. Very pleased with his work

After deciding (well, my husband deciding) that we could not possibly move this piano ourselves, we found Bill Rogers, The Piano Mover on Angie's List.
I made inquiries via e-mail for an estimate, and he was very prompt in responding to the e-mails.
I got estimates from some other movers from Angie's List, all of which were very prompt to respond with estimates also.
The Piano Mover's estimate was the lowest, the others being $450 and $455. That was not the only reason why we chose him though...He was most local to us in Glen Cove and I knew that I would also need a tuner for the piano. Bill Rogers offers tuning services too!
So, once we agreed to hire him, he asked for the contact name/number in westport and asked for my phone number.
Once he made an appointment with my cousin, in westport, he then called me and confirmed the pick up and delivery day.
I didn't have to do anything...He made it so easy for both of us!
The day that the move was scheduled, it was raining like cats and dogs! But the piano was moved without a hitch! It made the trip with out a scratch, and was dry as could be.
The piano and the bench were wrapped up with moving blankets and nicely protected from the elements!
Bill Rogers and his assistant were so wonderful. My cousin said that when they picked up, they were so professional! She was very happy. When they arrived here, they came in, delivered, placed it where we wanted it, Mr. Rogers even made sure that the bench was properly stowed before leaving.
I asked about tuning, and he played a few notes, and said that i could call his office to schedule a tuning at my convenience.
He was very courteous. The delivery was made without any problems, without any disruptions at all.
Very happy with everything. He charged $425. I gave him $465...It was a great experience.
I would recommend him and will call to schedule a tuning with his company.

I contacted Bill via email to obtain a quote for the move and possible tuning/repairs. He responded promptly (within 12 hours) and the estimate he provided was in the middle of the 3 quotes we had solicited, but I was impressed at the specificity of the questions he asked about both locations and the piano itself. I felt that of the people we spoke with, he was the most knowledgeable about the specifics of moving the piano (as opposed to some companies who seem to be movers who also offer piano moving services). He was able to offer us a convenient time a week later, which fit our schedule well.
The move itself went perfectly. He arrived at the other home to pick the piano up, and when I spoke with the owner, she said she was very impressed with the care he took to protect not only the piano, but her stairs and doorways. She felt he was pleasant and professional, as was his assistant. When they arrived at our home, he took a number of measurements of the doors, and we discussed placement of the piano. I was astonished at how fast he and his assistant were able to get the piano through a tiny door (with barely any clearance on either side), positioned where I wanted it, and without a single scratch. He offered advice on protecting the piano from any damage, and played a few scales/chords to check the sound. We had been concerned about two sticking keys, but he explained they would be fairly quick fixes, and offered us a discount on the work, as well as the necessary tuning. Overall, I was very impressed with his professionalism and pleased with the work he did. I felt the cost was more than fair, and worth every penny, given the fact that he had to navigate a difficult passageway/door.

Due to uncontrollable circumstances it took us a fre phone calls to get on the same pae as far as a day that would work, but eventually it happened. Bill was by far the least expensive but in speaking with him over the phone he was who I felt the most comfotable with as he asked al ot of questions that I would have never thought to ask a mover myself. He arrived on time to pick it up and made great time getting to NJ. I was very satisfied with the move, but Bill is a business man. He is there to make your move, not be your buddy. He was in and out, but the Piano was delivered and I was very grateful for that. I would highly recommend him as he gets the job done! He really knows what he is doing.

"Thank you very much, It was a pleasure to help with your piano move, Scheduling piano moves out of state can sometime have challenges and traffic may dictate the overall process, Most often we have to work with great efficiency to insure being on time to our next piano stop. You need to be careful with piano movers. They sometimes can really damage your piano. These guys did not. They were careful and my piano was safely and soundly moved. I had nothing bad arise when dealing with them so I would call myself one content customer as far as they are concerned.

They sent five young gentlemen to move my piano. They got the job done. My piano was not scuffed or damaged thereafter. I was totally happy. I got a good referral to use them so I was content.

Bill responded quickly to my voice mail and gave me an estimate over the phone based upon the information I provided (i.e. number of stairs at locations and the size of piano). He assured me that he was fully insured and had never had a claim against the company in many years of business. Price was reasonable and included a free tuning.I had a little difficulty coordinating actual moving details as they were complicated, but he accomplished the mission in spite of extra traffic-related delays. He was directly involved with the actual physical work, which gave me more confidence than if he had just sent "workers". He was very attentive to concerns about a scratch that turned out to be present before the move. He worked very hard to accommodate all needs. Has not yet come back to tune the piano, but we will be making an appointment and feel confident that he will fulfill that promise. I would use him again and would certainly recommend him.
