Remodeling basements, kitchens,bathrooms, building decks

"Please visit [*** Link removed ***] - we have plenty of photos of the mess they left behind! Don't believe their reviews BBB.org - they are from family and friends! Johanna C. is Ashley's best friend. Lee is related to Luis.  Roseanne N. is Ashley's mother.  Tony R. is one of the construction workers. LA SUPREME CONTRACTING ABANDONED THE JOB AND TRIED TO EXTORT US FOR MONEY. WHEN THEY REALIZED THAT WE WOULD NOT BE BULLIED, THEY BREACHED THEIR CONTRACT BY PULLING THEIR PERMIT. THIS FORCED THE NYC DEPARTMENT OF BUILDINGS TO PLACE A STOP WORK ORDER ON OUR PROPERTY! When the job started his workers took long cigarette breaks and spent lots of time in the backyard on their cell phones instead of working. We were left with the smell of urine in our backyard and countless cigarette butts all over. His workers graffitied the walls with words like “David loves ********,” and “David loves Juny.” They were aware that we would move into the house by March 1st but they didn’t care! Since we moved in, we’ve had to live in a construction zone; exposed to dirt, dust and hazardous conditions throughout the house (i.e. exposed wires). Our living room has become a storage area for the furniture that should be in the basement, which remains incomplete. We can not get comfortable in our own home. "3A Contracting did a fantastic job! I originally hired them to build a new outdoor deck and was so pleased that I had them paint my second floor interior and refinish my wood floor. They sanded my doors so that the paint would adhere and they came out so smoothly. What a huge improvement! I was completely impressed! They are hard working, cleaned up after themselves daily, were very communicative, and competitively priced. I highly recommend 3A and can't wait for them to return to do my first floor. It's like I'm in a brand new home. 5 stars to Bill, Andy, and their crew."

We are a company owned by a latin family, and we are hard workers by nature. We have more than 15 years experience in all about construction and building. There is no job to small or too big that we cannot do.

"Terrible! Stay away from Erick Sosa! Seemed decent but did, awful, cheap sloppy work. It cost me money to fix all his lazy mistakes. Be smart and hire a reputable company, not this cheap, "pay me cash" laborer. I learned my lesson."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

A cross brace for a fence gate should stretch from the top corner of the gate’s hinge side to the bottom corner of its latch side at a 45-degree angle to the bottom of the gate. This positioning distributes the bulk of the gate’s weight to the base of the post, taking pressure off the top hinge.

When building a house, it is customary to use 16d nails that measure 3 1/2 inches in length to construct the frame. These nails are crucial in providing the necessary support and stability for structural elements like joists and studs, which ensures a sturdy framework.

Yes, professionals re-mount and realign antennas for optimal signal reception.

The best way to determine if ceiling cracks are structural is to hire a ceiling contractor to inspect the cracks and provide a professional opinion. That said, you might be able to make an educated guess based on the size and appearance of the crack. Larger cracks, cracks accompanied by sagging or discoloration, and cracks that travel from the ceiling down the walls are all signs of structural issues.

You can use a nail to find ceiling joists, but it’s not as reliable as a stud finder, and you’ll end up with lots of small holes in your ceiling. If the nail hits a joist, you'll feel increased resistance. Mark the spot with a pencil. Repeat this process regularly along the ceiling, 16 or 24 inches apart, until you've mapped out the joist locations.
