He was very good. The installation was wonderful. He cleaned up and everything. He had to redo all the frame. There was a lot of things he needed to do.

Very well. The fence/gate is beautiful and incredibly solid. Doug has done many projects for us over the last 20 years including a finished basement. His work is excellent and the quality is outstanding. He is a true professional who takes pride in his work. We prefer Doug to do all of our projects over anyone else we have tried.

I have been working with Doug for over 5 years. He has been to my home multiple times. He is a skilled craftsmen. He is also reliable, trustworthy, and clean. I am comfortable having him in my home. He did beautiful door installations and cabinet making, and repairs of outside vinyl windows. My house is 95 years old and Doug has handled it well, worms and all. He doesn't try to sell you more than you need and his prices are fair and reasonable. I would definitely recommend him, in fact I am starting a kitchen remodel early next year with Doug.

I love the work he did on my kitchen and so happy with my bathroom. I have also gone with recommendations of electricians as I needed electrical work done in the bathroom. Was very happy with them. He shows up when he says he will and if he needs to come back he will let me know. So glad I found him. I would contact him for any work needed in my home.

TOOK SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS AND NOW NO SIGN OF HIM. We initially had two contracts with Doug to be completed back-to-back: 1) open a wall between an office and dining room, and other miscellaneous items, and 2) build and install two office cabinets and baseboard heater cover. Up front we had paid him material costs for both projects. He completed the first project very much to our satisfaction, and we paid him in full on 3/23/18 for that first project. At that time, he said he would have the cabinets finished within a week. The second contracted project was to be done in conjunction with the first project. After nearly a week of not hearing from him, we contacted him to get an update on the cabinets. He said he was having an issue with the paint and had to put on another coat. We asked him to send us a photos of the cabinets as we were looking forward to seeing how they were coming out. He scheduled the install for 4/13 with, but the paint issue continued. He scheduled 4/20 to install, but again we were advised the paint problem was unresolved. We again asked him to send us photos of the cabinets which he never sent. He said the paint was coming out like “orange peel” and he didn’t know why. He said he would reduce the price of the project by $500. because of the delay, and that he was in the process of sanding them down. He said that if he couldn’t get it right to our satisfaction, he would refund us the material costs. We told him no problem, but again asked for him to send us a photo. For the third time he agreed, but we never received photos and haven't heard from him again. For the past 12 days, we have left many messages and sent him an email and we have received no response. We even had a friend call him to see if he would pick up his phone concerned that he may have had some sort of health emergency. We really liked this guy and his work!! He called her back thinking she was a new potential customer leaving her a nice phone message...We have a problem...

Doug was on time for estimate and day of repair. Very professional.

We are thrilled with how our bathroom turned out! Doug is reliable, a great listener, easy to get on the phone, and all those things that are hard to find in a contractor. He works with you and does not make you feel bad if something needs to be changed or requires extra work. Doug understands old homes, especially when it comes to moldings, cabinets and finishes. He was a pleasure to work with from start to finish!

EVERYTHING WENT PERFECTLY!!!! I would be hard pressed to hire anyone else other than Doug. My husband and I find his prices fair, his work excellent, and his manner extremely pleasant. He is completely trustworthy - I have often left him alone while he worked. He was also very accommodating when it came to our very large dog. Doug gets the job done... and then some! If you are thinking of getting a project done, don't wait for the last minute to contact Doug...he's often scheduled in advance because he is sooooo good.

Doug did a fabulous job on everything. The sills are beautiful (mahogany) and so is everything else. He is a truly nice guy and excellent at what he does.

Doug is by far the most friendly, honest, thorough, responsive, and clean/tidy tradesman we've worked with since buying our home three years ago. We've had a fair amount of work done to the house and Doug is just top notch and a pleasure to deal with. He goes out of his way to do the job the right way every time.

Doug has performed many services for me over the last few months. He does a great job, is very friendly, and offers very reasonable prices. He's now my go- to guy!!

Doug is an excellent craftsmen.  He's done several jobs for us from when we moved in just 3 yrs ago and has slowly and surely been transforming the interior- from finishing sheet rock that I started, spackling, crown molding, window install with moldings etc.  He is punctual and efficient and as I said great at his craft.  Last month he installed 5 doors, 3 solid core, 2 hollow.  God bless you Doug, thank you and see you next year

Doug did a great job and was focused on all the details. He did an exvlent job and we are happy with the work.

I was very excited to start to work with him. He was very polite started the work in two month as he promised. Everything started great he put some sheetrock on the ceiling. Then he said that he is not doing my stairs because it's not in the contract ( I admit it's my fault I should have read contract and I didn't) I got very confused because my main concern was the stairs. Then he said he'll do it for me because he believes me. I was relieved. I remember that he supposed to paint ceiling railing moldings but he didn't. He just painted the railings and the plate that railings located on. I thought stairs were ok but I just noticed that the raisers were not sanded well I got the splinter from the raised just today and I noticed some small nails that could have been taken out were just pressed in. The ceiling came out good  you can still see little imperfections here and there. Overall I am not very satisfied. Its definitely better than it was before.

Doug to the rescue!  When we mistakenly hired a contractor who had come highly recommended by our electrician, we embarked on a nightmare that left us with half a bathroom and walls so bowed there was a 1/2 in gap between our sheetrock and wainscoting. Doug replied to our call for help within hours and was at our house that evening to give us a quote, apologizing for being so busy.  (our other contractor repeatedly neglected to even return our calls).  He gave us an approximate date for the work and was here within that week to begin.  The job ended up more complicated and difficult than we thought (of course) and he only added a $100 dollars to his original quote to finish up!  He even helped us out by picking up his favorite paint for wainscoting to make sure we ended up with a smooth finish!  We are definitely hiring him again for finish work.

Very nicely---Easy to work with--Very professional and does very good work. Will certainly use his services again for work on the house--inside and out.

We contracted with Doug?s Construction to renovate 2 bedrooms, 2 closets and hallway in our home.  Doug?s quotation was very competitive and his work professional. Acting as the prime contractor, Doug?s Construction utilized sub-contractors for the demolition, spackling and electrical work required for the renovation.  Doug was very responsive to our requests to expand or modify the original renovation plan. Doug?s work was consistent and continuous throughout the renovation. I would recommend Doug?s Construction for any small to mid-size project you may be considering.  We would definitely consider Doug?s Construction for any future renovations.
