Masonry, brick, and asphalt work?some new and some repair and restoration. In late December 2023/early January 2024, A1 Masonry Contractors did sloppy, objectively substandard masonry and other work, created multiple tripping and other safety hazards, and refused our written requests to meet to review the long list of deficiencies that they should have corrected. Our home?s retaining wall repair, new asphalt driveway, front walk and steps restoration, new stepping stones on side, and back patio were all damaged by A1?technical and aesthetic nightmares. Their actions caused our garage to flood. All the damage A1 did was meticulously documented with photos and text in a lengthy, comprehensive report by a licensed home inspector with engineering background. A1 Masonry Contractors? owners, John and Myles Delaney, failed to honor their warranty/100% guarantee of satisfaction. My husband and I are in the process of suing them, as is at least one other extremely dissatisfied consumer.

In October 2023, we hired A1 Masonry to fix our leaking brick stoop (rowhome with an english basement). They were to repair the stoop and fill all gaps in bricks and cracks, blackjack and waterproof, and we had a 3-year warranty. In September 2024, massive cracks formed in the wall under the stoop. John at A1 who quoted another $8175 to "redo the plaster" that they had already done (twice; they didn't do it right the first time around). We got another contractor who found *none* of the work was done correctly, and it cost over $6000 to have it done correctly. Photos show gaps in bricks before A1 did work, and a year later when new contractor opened wall the exact same cracks are there.

Contractors Masonry Construction was just what we needed! Our backyard is now our favorite spot in the house since they built our gorgeous patio and awesome fire pit! The fact that they are also a supplier is a huge plus as they have direct access to all of the materials needed for the project from beginning to end!
