"We hired Eric/ Worldwide Painters on the basis that he had such good reviews here on Angi and tbh, I don't understand how he received these reviews bc our experience was the complete opposite. He was hired to paint (prime/2 coats of paint) a studio apt, make a soffit for heating pipe, repair 2nd soffit, repair/patch 3 openings from previous plumbing repair. We asked him for a contract before starting the project, he emailed a general inv w a total price after he started. My husband then asked for an itemized inv 2 days in, he then says he doesn't know what we want. On the 3rd day he informs us that he will have the project completed the following day when they still hadn't finished with drywall repair, spackling or even started priming and painting. We told him we didn't want him to rush, but he insisted he wasn't and would have everything done with no problem. Sure enough, the following day he tells us he's done and my husband goes down to check ahead of me. Apparently, he took offense that my husband had to ask him once again for an itemized inv and asked rather loudly - "How Many times do you want me to send it?!" My husband told him we didn't have one and that we had asked before the start. What he sent on different days was a generalized inv w a total price and then what looked to be a barely recognizable contract. The problem was that he didn't know what an itemized inv was and my husband had to explain. When I walked in he looked to be visibly agitated and my husband had to ask him to calm down twice. Upon walking in, I could visibly see that most walls only had 1 coat, the areas that were spackled were less than smooth, by any means. There were blisters in the paint, pooled paint at the bottom of moldings, no caukling was done around moldings or corners, there were specks of dried paint dotting almost all the walls, paint dripping on several walls, paint on the glass of windows and they did not paint around ANY of the recessed lights, holes were left in wall that were to be spackled, one of the openings for drywall repair was NOT done, NONE of the doors were painted. This is what he claimed was complete. We expected to have one soffit left incomplete bc we were waiting for molding to be shipped which he said he had ordered and would come back the following week to complete that, but we weren't prepared for what we received in the end. It was the worst paint, spackling job we had ever had in all our yrs of being homeowners. After pointing several of these issues out, he assured us that when he was to come back to complete the soffit, he would rectify any problems then and complete the job. He agreed to take a lesser amount for the balance owed until all was complete and left on polite terms, even discussing a hallway painting project once studio was complete. Just a few hrs later, he sends a text saying that he would not come back and would not be doing hallway and would take the loss for the balance. Now we have to find someone else to fix all the issues left by him and we already know it's going to cost more than what he claims is a loss. I don't think we'll be using Angi again after this experience and it goes without saying that we will not be using this company ever again. To say that we are disappointed and/or upset is an understatement. Its our belief that he had no intention of completing the job bc he obviously didn't order the molding which was to be delivered to our home and he didn't buy any paint for the doors. Also, we had to clean 2 nights in a row after they left for the day. I'm attaching some pics, but it's difficult to catch due to lighting. If you've read this far and considering hiring this company, be forewarned!"

The cost of an epoxy floor is $2,430 on average, ranging from $730 to $5,300. Factors that impact the overall cost include the total square footage, the type of epoxy, and any decorative options.
The epoxy flooring cost in a one-car garage is $720 to $2,900. However, that cost jumps to $1,100 to $4,300 for a two-car garage, which is 360 square feet on average. Adding decorative flakes to your flooring costs roughly $10 per 250-pound bag, but if you want metallic epoxy, that’ll cost you between $5 and $12 per square foot.
An epoxy floor can last between 10 and 20 years, depending on the material and its frequency of use. Factors like heavy foot traffic, sunlight exposure, and the weight of vehicles on it impact the overall longevity.
To ensure your floor lasts as long as possible, clean it often, as debris buildup can scratch the epoxy. Remember never to use any kind of rough pads, only a soft mop, to avoid scratches as well. In addition, if your epoxy coating needs repair, it’s best to repair it as quickly as possible to avoid more significant damage.
Since epoxy products are hazardous to handle, it’s best to leave this job to a professional epoxy flooring contractor. These flooring professionals will have the appropriate protective gear to stay safe during the application process and will use the correct tools needed for the job. In addition, if not correctly applied, the epoxy won’t harden correctly, causing performance issues. Hire a professional epoxy flooring contractor to guarantee a smooth, even finish for your flooring.
Spills like water, oil, or grease can wear down the epoxy's strength, lowering its lifespan. While this damage doesn’t happen immediately, it can accumulate over time, so cleaning up any garage spills as soon as they happen is essential. Avoid cleaning with or using dish soap on your epoxy floors since they will leave an unattractive residue. Instead, you can use half of a cup of ammonia diluted with a gallon of water for cleaning purposes.
Flooring professionals can typically apply epoxy within one or two days, depending on how much preparation or repair the old floor needs before application. However, you’ll need to wait after the application is complete to use the flooring. While you can walk on the epoxy flooring before it fully cures, it can take up to 72 hours for the epoxy floor to fully dry and be ready for full use.
