"I had a great experience hiring Arbor Care Tree Management. Led by a certified Arborist, this highly skilled team showed what true professionals can do when they face challenging jobs like mine. I had a 65 ft Spruce tree that stood a few feet from my shed and was surrounded by fencing and structures on my neighbors property. There was no way this tree could be felled by standard methods. Arbor Care found a way to set up a complex rigging system which they used to take the tree down in sections with no damage. Even a family of Wrens that lived in a birdhouse just a few feet from the tree were untouched. I also had them prune two very large trees, a Beech, and an Oak. They literally went out on a limb to reach areas in those trees. Now my trees are healthy again and look so much better. There is a lot more sunlight in my yard now. It makes the yard look and feel airy and open again. My wife and I are looking forward to spending time on our patio now. Arbor Care came with the right equipment to get the job done. You can tell they care about the safety of their tree climbers, and they care about protecting your trees and property too. The results were amazing, the price was fair, and they were a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Arbor Care and will definitely use them again."

"B&N Enterprises Nicholas (Nick) Freeborn did a great job. June 16 we had a storm 100 MPH winds our tree on peak of second story metal roof. Tree had to be lifted off which was done professionally and clean up was excellent and other damaged trees where taken down with no problem in a safe manor. Would have him do more work in the future."

"We needed to have a large two sink cement basin in our basement removed. Two young gentlemen came in and removed it themselves. Needless to say, the sink weighed 250-300 lbs! It was a struggle, but they did it. I will be calling them back if we have something we can't do, but they can. Highly recommend this business."

"Save removed 6 very tall trees around our house as well as trimming all the trees away overhanging the house roof and around an electric pole. It was very tricky work and involved a lot of maneuvering the lift and how to tackle everything that needed to be taken down. Dave is an expert at his craft. Each tree was taken down with precision so that no damage was done to our house, garage, wires or other trees/shrubs. (Okay, so a branch or two landed in the middle of our Rose of Sharon bush, lol. It needed trimming anyway and has bounced back and looks as pretty as ever). Dave is friendly and easy to work with, flexible with his work schedule and accommodating when we needed to make our payments for the job on a different schedule than first stated to us. We are still waiting for the stump grinding to happen. We know, tho, that Dave will complete the job because he is a man of his word."

Arborists FAQs, answered by experts

Whether tree roots will continue to grow after a tree has been cut down depends on the species. Some tree roots will eventually die because they can no longer get nutrients through photosynthesis. However, other species that reproduce through root sprouts can continue to grow and produce new sprouts for seven years or more. For example, the roots of elms, ficus, and willows tend to regrow aggressively, while the roots of pines, oaks, and maples will typically die. To determine if a root system is still active, look for new sprouts on the old trunk, stump, or any exposed roots.

Grinding down a tree helps reduce the risk of foundation damage and pests and even helps your home’s curb appeal. Stumps can also be a safety hazard. If grass grows above the stump and someone else mows your yard, they may be in for a rude awakening when they accidentally hit it.

Many species, especially when well-established, are not fans of transplantation. You’ll need to decide if you want to risk splashing the cash, understanding that transplantation isn’t always successful. Again, this is where hiring a pro is helpful, as they can give you all the essential info you need to ensure your tree stands a fighting chance.

Signs include dead branches, growth over structures, diseases, pests, or roots impacting hardscapes.

Unlike some fruit trees, such as apple, sweet cherry, or pear that require at least two trees for pollination, most peach trees are self-pollinating. This means you can plant just one tree and still expect it to produce fruit, typically within two to four years. For best results, consult with a local landscaper to choose the right peach tree variety for your specific climate, soil type, and yard layout.
