"After requesting services, Etmond contacted me quickly and scheduled me right away. He was prompt, polite and very professional. Our porch needed repairs as the floor boards were popping up and some were dropping down. The base of each post that supports the roof, were falling apart. Etmond was a pro! He knew what was wrong and fixed all the unsafe floor boards and secured both ends of the porch (something the original installer failed to do). Etmond also replaced all post supports with the proper product. Our porch is now safe to walk on and we can't thank him enough for the excellent work he did. No threshholds, smooth perfect and tight seams from room to room and door to door. I love a crew that doesn't have to hide their transitions under a threshhold. Seamless experience in every way. They clean up the site at the end of every work day. They haul away whatever needs hauled away. They are friendly, talented, welcome input and do what needs to be done to exceed all expectations. (there were none!). I have more jobs scheduled: decking (including relocating propane tanks), house addition, complete renovation of two bathrooms., fencing. My go to crew for everything."

"We have an old Victorian house, with built-in gutters (called Philadelphia or Yankee gutters) and a slate roof.  We called because the water was pouring off the back corner of the house in a torrent, and not entering our rain barrel, which is connected by an external gutter to the built-in gutter.  A contractor working on renovating our kitchen was concerned that we get the repair done asap, before he put up the sheet rock in the new kitchen,  as he was concerned about potential water damage.  To complicate matters, we were also going out of town the following day.  
Within hours of my leaving a message, the owner, Eddie, called me back and arranged to come the following day at noon.  He let me know the price; we arranged a place for me to leave a check; and agreed he would call on my cell to let me know how the job went.  He completed the work, and called to let me know what the problem was (debris in the gutter and the gutter resting on, instead of above, the rain barrel), and that he had cleaned the Philadelphia gutters and repositioned the external gutter correctly.   The price was as he quoted, despite the fact that this is a large house and complicated gutter system.  They cleaned up great; I understand they even cleaned a worker's vehicle that had gotten dirty because of their flushing the gutter.  We have not had rain since the cleaning, so I can't be sure how well everything is working, but it looks good, and we were very pleased with the excellent communication about the job and the prompt and courteous service.

"My husband and I have been building a cabin in the area, with the aim to retire there together and appreciate a slower pace of life. Unfortunately my husband has become very sick and we are unable to finish the cabin. Having received help from family and friends, we managed to get the place to a point where my husband could come and spend some time there, even if it was brief. We did however have a small job needed to be done, a small window in the gable end wall as you approach the property, which would have really set the mood for the place and bring great delight to my husband and I. My brother found J & A Carpentry through Angi over the internet and attempted to get the window fitted as an Xmas gift and to give us both some inspiration in our difficult time. Things havnâ  t exactly gone to plan and our time together is short. Having looked at the job Jeff of J & A Carpentry sensed our desperation and took it on himself to install the window exactly how we needed it done. None of us could believe such a kind act. The job was quoted in advance, be we never got chance to review the quote or even formally engage Jeffâ  s services, but we just had to get the window in for Xmas and they did it for us. The quote was very reasonable and the workmanship flawless. This may sound a little over the top, as a review for a carpenter and builder, but when you are in a world of pain, when you donâ  t know what to do and which way to turn, you are lost, helpless and desperate. Any help is appreciated and J & A Carpentry where there for us when we needed them most. I broke down in tears when I found out how they dropped everything to help us, complete strangers who they didnâ  t know would even pay them, a pure act of genuine kindness, based on trust and faith. I canâ  t possibly express how greatfull my husband and I are for their service. I was beginning to think we were surrounded by demons in the world these days, but there are angels out there after all. With the windows fitted in the cabin thanks to Jeff, we put up an Xmas tree and lights and transported my husband down from the hospital for Xmas.
