"I had to call 5 different electrical contractors to do work in my co-op. I found some off of Angie's list and home advisor. I had contractors who never showed up, people who never got back to me after showing up. Some quotes were lower, and one quote was higher. At the end of the day Beshaun was on time, prepared, professional and provided a detailed estimate. He showed up fully prepared to do the work. His workers were professional. They got the job done in time as promised and cleaned up after themselves. I felt comfortable enough to leave them in my home while I was at work. I had him install 4 sets of track lights, and over head lights in 2 closets and one room that had none, along with a ceiling fan. All new wiring had to be run for everything."

"Hello - I hired LAURELTON ELECTRIC company (contact Michael Scheffler) based on original work of 1)installing a new meter( with appropriate approval from local Gas/Electric utility company - Con Edison), 2) move existing circuit breaker panel to a new location, and 3) separate circuit breakers from two meters into 3 meters and ensure all electric outlets are working per 3 new meters. The company sent two technicians on two separate days (Chris and Ashgar Ali) to confirm the work prior to start. The original agreement was for $500 deposit that will be held on a Credit Card, and when I pay for the full amount after job completion, then the company would not charge the credit card. As part of first phase of the work, when the contractor moved the existing electric panel to new location, not all circuit breakers are working as expected. He also requested $2,500 payment which was not part of the original agreement. In show of good faith I paid $2,500 with understanding that the contractor will correct the issue plus install the new meter. The contractor has not installed new meter (he needs to work with Con Edison to get permit and complete the work). Now he is requesting additional $3,100 for moving 6 circuit breakers from original panel that was moved to an existing panel .. which was part of the original work request. I am really frustrated with the bait-and-switch tactic and constant follow-up I have to do for this work to be completed. I am hoping Angie's list can intervene and get this work completed per original agreement."
