He uses multiple addresses in various LI towns and won’t tell you his actual current address. The one listed on Angi is a street that does not even exist. First, make sure the couch and door measurements are compatible. Removing the interior door increases the opening if it's a close fit. You may need to turn the couch on its side or move it in separate pieces, if possible. Your best bet is to use furniture sliders to help you slide your couch through a doorway.

Pocket and standard doors are similar in price, but pocket doors cost more to install than standard doors. Professionals usually charge around $150 to $200 to hang a standard door. But if you're installing a pocket door on an existing wall, you'll likely pay between $1,000 and $3,500. 

You should generally cut between 1/8-inch and 1 inch when planing a door. If you cut off more than that, you risk damaging the door. Planing too much from the bottom of your door can cause noticeable gaps, so it’s always better to start with as thin of a section as possible and work in thin layers until your door no longer sticks.

You can convert a pre-hung door into a Dutch door, but it’s more of a pain. Pre-hung doors are already set in the frame with the hinges and everything aligned, so once you cut the slab in half, you’ll likely need to adjust the hinge placement and maybe even mess with the frame itself. It’s doable, but expect some trial and error because it’s not a straight-swap situation.
