"I moved into a new house and after using the toilets, etc for a while - we noticed they would leak. Trying to fix themselves and turn off the valves - those leaked as well. I got in touch with Entoni and he came that evening. He fixed the easy stuff and didn’t charge me and then gave me reasonable quotes and came back that night after retrieving parts to fix. the remaining issues. One of the plumbing issues continued after the fix, and Entoni made time to come out the next night and replace the toilet with his dad (who is the nicest guy) for a modest price and he additionally patched and painted dry wall that my electrician had to cut through all within a few hours and it looks just as good as a painter who does it over multiple days!"

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Hi Tech Contracting and Restoration Corp for a complete refresh of our home in Queens. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality were evident throughout the project. They expertly performed brick spot pointing on our chimney, repaired our traditional masonry stucco, and applied Thorocoat waterproofing paint on our foundation walls. Additionally, they applied a liquid silicone coating to our flat roof and addressed several issues with our problematic roof. Our neighbor also chose their services, a testament to their outstanding workmanship. I highly recommend Hi Tech Contracting and Restoration Corp for any restoration needs!"

"Eddie was great to work with! We had a limited time frame to adhere to town inspections and Eddie and his team knew exactly what we needed and quickly got the job done. The results were great and even the inspector acknowledged the impressive repair. They were able to put a knocked out garage wall back on the foundation and repair the interior dry wall. I would recommend this company for any professional contract work due to their reasonable price, ease to work with and quality of work."

"Michelle and Javier did a fast and very good job in our bathroom. There was no demo involved, they regrouted the wall tile and installed new floor over existing tile, removed old sink and installed new vanity and changed all fixtures! Above all these two made feel confident that no matter what they would be around, they worked hard to solve all the little problems that eventually happen!"

"Mick and his team were professional from start to finish. Mick explained the repair process of repairing my retaining wall from start to finish. His explanation was enough to tell me he knew what he was doing which was the main reason I hired him. His masons were diligent in removing the old buckled retaining wall and installing a new one with additional reinforcement and changing the wall cap across the rest of the garden wall. Mick's team also took care of a few extras that were added on so although only part of the wall needed repair, the garden wall looks uniform. Most of all, his team kept the job site clean. As for the paperwork, unlike other businesses that give you only the bill, Mick was thorough starting with the written estimate with the description of the work to the final invoice outlining the work completed "in detail". I highly recommend."

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

Through proper drainage solutions and compacting the foundation soil.

Generally speaking, a retaining wall should be between 3 and 4 feet high, depending on variables such as the wall-building material, the purpose of the retaining wall, and more. If you want your retaining wall to be taller than 4 feet, check with your local building ordinance office for the maximum allotment. You may also need a special permit for retaining walls over 4 feet tall.

To maintain the integrity of your landscape, a retaining wall must be installed if the slope of the angle exceeds 35 degrees. The lean of the wall must be 1 inch per 12 inches in height to disperse the weight of the soil uniformly and guarantee the correct drainage of the soil.

With foundation walls, the slab on grade and force at the top of the wall is resisted by flooring. With retaining walls, the force at the top of the wall is not resisted.

Railroad ties can be good for retaining walls, but it depends on the area. They have a desirable rustic look and are durable. The problem is they’re treated with creosote, a preservative the EPA says poses a risk to humans and wildlife. Over time, the preservative seeps out of the wood and into the ground. Many areas have banned the use of creosote-treated wood on residential properties. If your area does allow it, never use railroad ties near an edible garden or drinking water source. Instead, use wood that’s treated with an EPA-approved preservative or a wood-alternative composite material.
