Bronx Coworking Space is a home for start-ups and small businesses. We're a coworking center that provides commercial shared office space, which includes floating desks, shared desks, meeting rooms, and private offices that can hold 1 – 7 people. Bronx Coworking Space is a place where start-ups, entrepreneurs, freelancers, telecommuters, and small or home-based businesses can work in a collaborative office space and access to resources that can help grow their business.http://bronxcoworkingspace.com

"It is almost impossible to work here without because of the noise levels and the unstable internet access. If you need to make phone calls, this is not place to do it - I've had and coworkers complain about the background noise on calls on a daily basis. There are no roofs on the private offices and no soundproofing on the ceiling, so be prepared to be annoyed by nonstop disco music blasting, along with 30 other people's conversations. Great office manager Marlene, but Leon, the owner is unprofessional and rude, yells at clients if they ask to turn the music down."

Home Building questions, answered by experts

It’s typically more cost-effective to move a building along with its accessories than to demolish and rebuild it from scratch. However, that’s only if you can move the accessories without damaging them. However, if you plan to demolish the accessories anyway, it is advisable to do so before the move to save costs.

A guest house is not a bump-out addition. A bump-out addition is a small home addition built onto a preexisting room of your house, like a bay window or walk-in closet. While you can do a bump-out addition to a constructed guest house, a guest is not a bump-out addition. Other common bump-out additions are extra living room seating, space for a bathtub in a bathroom, and extra cupboard space in a kitchen.

A carriage house is a freestanding building, while a townhouse is connected to other units. A townhouse is a full single-family home and typically shares a parcel of land with other connected homes. A carriage house is rarely used as the sole single-family home on a property and is most often an additional building sharing property with a traditional single-family home.

Framing tends to be the longest step in the construction process, especially for larger homes. It takes anywhere from one week to a couple of months, depending on the house size, the number of people on the construction crew, and the time of year. The design stage often takes a long time, too. Some people spend months or even years contemplating their house’s size, layout, and materials before construction begins.

Common pitfalls include underestimating the cost of site preparation, overlooking permit and utility fees, and not setting aside funds for unexpected changes. Change orders during construction can disrupt your budget. It’s best to plan a detailed budget, obtain multiple quotes, and include a 10% to 15% contingency fund for unexpected expenses.
