"The Rodent Remediation Service consisted of the following activities: 1) Attic (or Crawl Space) Remediation Service; 2) Basement Remediation Service; 3) Exclusion (Pest Proofing); 4) Ridge-Guard Installation; 5) Mice Trapping The Rodent Remediation Service was conducted in three phases, by three different teams, 7 different technicians: 1) Estimation - Team A (3 estimators); 2) Remediation - Team B (2 technicians); 3) Remediation - Team C (2 technicians). OVERALL: In carrying out the Remediation Service RodentX teams (collectively) exhibited the following qualities: workmanship, perseverance, communication, and commitment. Each of the three RodentX teams (A, B &C) performed their specific tasks in workmanship fashion. Team B deserves special kudos for perseverance (i.e., arriving at my home despite having to drive through ?whiteout conditions? at 10 MPH). Team C deserves special commendation for flexibility (i.e., filling in, at the last minute, for Team B whose members unexpectedly became ill); and for commitment (for promising to replace, during a future visit, the insulation in the basement that Team B had removed, but had intended to replace the following day). Considering that there was no obvious project manager charged with overall responsibility for managing this project, I want to commend all three teams (A, B & C) for communication excellence (i.e., keeping me posted regarding changes in arrival time, replacement teams, etc.). However, if I were granted one wish as a customer, I would wish that one overall project manager would give the customer a walkthrough at the end of the project to demonstrate that every task in the contract has been performed to the customer?s satisfaction."

"The sales were great and the young man that always came out to service was great.  They were even very pleasant to speak with on the phone.
Availability was tough, when there was an issue the service person would only be in my area one day per week, so if it happened on a Thursday, I would have to wait until Tuesday to see them.
I had an ant problem and it never really was resolved. I had the top package offered with everything except termite protection, yet when it was suggested to have stakes placed in the ground with some repellent or bait, they would not do it unless I paid extra. Pretty certain that should have been included in my plan. I even heard a "whisper" from one employee that it should be included in my plan.
When it came time to re-up my yearly service, the price increased by $200. After searching around, I phoned them and left a voicemail asking someone to call me back regarding the increase of the price and I never heard from them again.  Therefore I never phoned them again.
I would have used them again if the price could have remained the same and if they could have just included the in-ground stakes. I like the idea of eco friendly pest services and have used that type in previous locations, but this was the only one I could find in my area.

"Our home has been apparently favored by woodpeckers. We noticed 3 holes in the stucco and and some birds activities. But then  a woodpecker fell through the chimney into our family room. We caught  it and let it go,   then called Kyle for help. Kyle responded immediately, scheduled an appointment for the next morning and arrived on time with his helper. The two of them soon uncovered the extent of the damages: 9 holes + nests under the roof + in one case the birds removed and bent a piece of metal holding the roof and built nests under it + they removed the chimney cap to get into the chimney and remove the insulation to build the nest... In short, substantial spread damages. To add  complexity, our house is on the tall side and most of the holes were right under the roof requiring very tall ladders...
Kyle and his helper went to work. I was amazed by their work. All the holes are covered, the roof and chimney are fixed. The birds tried to return, but gave up on digging through the new stucco covering their holes. We thought the charge of $450, for several hours of two persons work, was on the low side and added $50.
Thank you Kyle for the terrific work.

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

In most cases, a mother bird will return to a disturbed nest after the disturbance has passed. However, it can be hard for a mother bird to find a relocated nest. So, while it’s false that a mother bird will abandon her nest if it’s been disturbed, it’s not a good idea to relocate a nest with live babies or eggs in it.

Costs depend on infestation severity, business size, treatment type, and frequency of service.

It can be difficult to know what type of animal is in your attic until you see it. But several clues can help you narrow down the suspects:

  • Sounds: Smaller animals like rats and mice make scurrying and tapping/gnawing sounds. Larger animals like raccoons and opossums make louder clambering noises. Also, note when animals are noisy: Squirrels are active during the day, while rats are busiest at night.

  • Droppings: Rats and mice leave small, rice-shaped droppings (the rat’s version is significantly larger). Bigger droppings belong to larger critters like raccoons. As long as you’re not squeamish, an image search can help you identify what you’re seeing in your attic.

When in doubt, take photos of damage or other evidence and show them to an experienced pest control pro.

Yes, it is generally safe to return to your house once the pest control professionals have granted permission. Keep in mind that you’ll only need to evacuate your home during extreme pest control treatments, such as whole-home fumigation, while more minor treatments don’t require leaving. When you return home, be sure to follow the pest pro’s instructions carefully, especially those surrounding wait times and safety precautions.

You can take multiple approaches to keep animals out of your edible landscape. You can use natural repellents such as mint and cayenne pepper to deter them from your garden. You can also build a fence (or opt for a privet hedge) or keep the most enticing plants in a sectioned-off area. The most efficient method of keeping your four-legged guests at bay is to determine what animal it is and create a customized plan for them.
