"The Action Piano team was responsive immediately after I contacted them. They worked with me to set up times that would work and picked up and delivered within their stated windows. On top of that, these guys did an excellent job moving my fragile and not in the best shape baby grand piano. They even did some additional repair and set up work upon delivery. In some ways, despite the move, the piano was delivered in better condition than it started in. Excellent quality and a reasonable price. I will definitely look to hire them again."

Why we selected Sterling:
I received quotes from 10 different highly rated moving companies. Stefan from Sterling visited the apartment and provided a very competitive estimate. He was courteous, friendly and professional.  He quoted us a fixed, flat fee to pack and move our apartment.
Sterling seemed to have the best combination of professionalism and affordability.  And I liked the concept of a flat fee, as move day is less stressful when you're not hyper-focused on watching the clock.
Move day:
We have a young child, and thus needed a full service move as we did not have time to pack.  We literally didn't move a finger.  Sterling sent a 4 man crew that arrived at 9:30am.  They meticulously packed up all of our possessions, taking care with delicate items to ensure that everything would be well wrapped.  All of our items were successfully loaded out of our Manhattan elevator building and into their truck.  Upon arrival in Brooklyn, the team did the heavy lifting, carrying everything up 2 flights of stairs into our new 3rd floor brownstone apartment.
The 4 man crew was awesome.  Hard-working, professional and good natured.  All 4 were respectful of neighbors and friendly around my wife and young child.  In under 9 hours, they completed our full service move flawlessly.  I would highly recommend Sterling to anyone looking for a high quality moving experience.

"Capital City Movers NYC are exceptional movers! Previously I had never found a moving company that I was overly satisfied with. I had posted in a facebook group and someone recommended them. I was hesitant at first but after speaking with the company I felt much more comfortable using them. They are pleasant to speak with and were very thorough when listing out the item move list. Their prices are also very reasonable. I was then able to modify the list as the move got closer and I had a better idea of what my list was. The day of the move the three movers arrived on time and were very efficient. They were careful with all my items and followed instructions thoroughly. I also thought they had great personalities. The three guys were very tall and very strong. I used foreman Peter and two other guys. I find a lot of moving company movers are miserable. "I was very pleased with the services we received from Moving Ahead, Garden City Park. My son was moving his things from our garage/basement to his apartment in Ridgewood. We called on a Wednesday and were able to book 2 men to help us on Saturday morning. The price quote we got was fair and Danny helped us out with our needs. They called to confirm the appointment and on the day of the move they called to confirm that they were on their way. They were very professional and helpful even if we had more boxes than I originally thought. They were very efficient got everything loaded in the truck in an hour. The movers were also helpful when we asked if they could also help us pick up a couch that my son was buying a few blocks from their new apartment. We could not have moved in such a timely and efficient fashion without their help. Will definitely hire them again."

"It went absolutely perfect They packed all my belongings for me and loaded truck in same day... 3 men...approx 5 hrs to do all this work My things were delivered to my new home on day and time promised Driver even called me evening before to re-confirm the agreed upon time and when they arrived they unloaded everything and placed my furniture where I asked them to All was packed so well that when I unpacked the many boxes, I found so much paper wrap that it was "hard" to find the item...LOL! But this is what kept all my things in great condition; plus, my furniture (each piece) was wrapped with quilts and plastic Everything was in great condition; no damages, no breakages! "Trying to get a hold of them to schedule the move and confirm some details was next to impossible. I had to call several times, couldn't get the person I needed, and they never called back. Luckily we were able to confirm details at basically the last minute. They showed up over an hour late with no call to let us know. We had used them in the past and knew they weren't top notch movers but for the price and what we needed it was good enough. They were even later this time than last which was very frustrating. During the move we lost my husband's power drill (we think they may have thought it was theirs but when we called them about it after they dismissed it) and we can't find a few other pieces (suitcase, etc) that we aren't sure how those could have been misplaced. They also tried to replace shelves on a shelving unit we have (we have 2 with slightly different sized boards) and when it didn't fit they just slammed it in. Now I can't get it out without breaking it more so its just an awkward, unlevel shelf. I called them about all of this and they kind of blew me off. I knew when we hired them the second time they weren't the best but they were cheap and we more or less knew what to expect. Overall even when we had to replace the things they were still less expensive (and had more flexible availability) than other companies. We knew what we were getting ourselves into and knew it was worth the savings. For this reason I would likely hire them again (also very well knowing what I was getting myself into) but be very aware of how the day went. The men were very nice and polite while there."

"Moishes moving was excellent from start to finish. The crew came in on time and were professional and careful with all furniture and fragile items. They were very quick and helped pack up some of the remaining items even though we did not include packing as part of the service. It was snowing that day and they still were able to finish the move on time and placed furniture in appropriate spots in the house.

"When I first called him he gave me a quote over the phone (not written) and I thought that the quote was about $3300 but later he said it was more like $3700. He was nice enough to hold everything for me for a day though and he was very patient with my date changes. They did a good job with the move too. We even bought the guys lunch and tipped them because they worked very hard and we were happy with the work."
