"Joe and his 3 man crew did great work. Fast and cleaned Thoroughly. They installed new highhat LED lights inserts into our existing kitchen and our living room high hat lighting. They added cellulose insulation into our attic. They also set up our bathroom vent with a vent going outside of the house as opposes to being vented into our attic. All in a timely fashion and an affordable price. Only issue is that Receipt was given. I guess since it was done during off season. ð ð ¾â â ï¸ but none the less the work was done right. ð"

"From the very start Mike answered all my questions and he brought up ideas regarding the siding and design on our house that we didnâ t think of (i.e. updating light fixtures to go with the color of new siding, updating speakers that were old and pitted looking, removing or hiding wires hanging (old Cablevision, telephone, satellite, antenna wires. Etc), flag pole holder. Communication was fantastic. We were always kept in the loop. Received calls back the same day. Worked with our work schedule. We were so happy with his service, we had them replace windows and as soon as they come into stock, our front door and new storm door will also be installed be Best Built Remodeling. We would HIGHLY recommend Best Built Remodelers"

"Hector and Moises were excellent! Hector came with one other of their crew and assembled my permanent gazebo. I have stone pavers and they were very careful in cutting them and digging Deep enough to establish a good anchor. They even installed railings for my back stoop. I would highly recommend them! Clean... affordable and professional."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

Finding a reputable contractor for an egress window installation involves researching and vetting potential candidates. Start by searching for local professionals, reading customer reviews, and checking their websites for a portfolio of their work.

Once you have a shortlist, ask the following questions to ensure they are qualified:

• Are you licensed and insured?

• What experience do you have installing egress windows?

• Can you provide references from previous customers?

• Do you perform the work yourself or use subcontractors?

• What is the estimated project timeline and your current schedule?

• How do you handle payment?

You install a window well 8 to 12 inches deeper than the base of the window sill. After filling the well with drainage rock, the well should sit 3 inches below the bottom of the window. The top of the window well should also be at least 3 inches higher than the surface-grade ground. The window well should be about 6 inches wider than the window opening.

The proper way to install a window well is to measure the window, dig a hole deeper and wider than the window, place a drainage tube and cap, anchor the well to the foundation, caulk the seam, and backfill the hole. The job requires tools such as a hammer drill and auger and some heavy digging. Proper placement and window well installation are critical to preventing water from leaking into the window.

Most professionals can enlarge a window in five to 10 hours, depending on the window location, the exterior wall material, how easy it is to cut through it, and how much buildback you’ll need after the installation is complete. However, more complex projects can take two to three days from start to finish.

Installing a window well costs anywhere from $500 to $1,500 or more. Adding an egress window and well runs about $3,900 on average. Adding a window well cover to the project can add $200 to $700. A well cover helps protect your egress windows from weather damage and keeps them clear of dirt, debris, and wildlife.
