"This company is the BEST ever. We called and within a half hour Justin showed up to look at the job. It was 8pm. Robby and Gary came the next day to find out what was needed. They found that we had no running water and didn't want us to go on like that. They started the next day. They were so kind and caring. They went above and beyond to help us. They were the only company that knew exactly what needed to be done. Other companies wanted to put the pipes back the wrong way. They knew how it needed to be done and that the main sewer was involved. They kept in contact with the town code office, where the other companies didn't even care to find out about the code. They did a few extra things to help us and were as happy as we were to do them. I can't thank them enough. They know their business and how to do it correctly. A thank you just doesn't seem enough for this wonderful company. They are fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Very professional, larger co. with excellent customer service and follow up. Plumber arrived on time and finished a portion of the work, with need to order parts and come back to finish the job. So far, very pleased with the work, but services are expensive and done by the job, not time and materials."

"They came and fixed my leaking toilet and did so in a very neat and efficient manner. I have them returning today to start a new job for me. Installing 2 new bathroom vanities, and a new toilet. I have already given a couple friends their contact information so they can use them as well."

I'm Jessica Smith, owner of P&J Home Ventures LLC. I've spent years working in real estate and property investment, and what I kept seeing was the same problem ? properties sitting stalled because owners couldn't find reliable, affordable help to get them into shape.\n\nSo I built a company around fixing that. We work with homeowners, landlords, and investors who need work done right, done fast, and done without the runaround. I understand properties from the buy-and-sell side, which means I know exactly what needs to be fixed to protect your investment and move it forward.\n\nMy approach is simple: show up, be honest about what the job needs, and deliver. No inflated estimates, no disappearing act after the deposit.\n\nIf your property needs work ? I'm your call.

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Brown stains in your toilet bowl are most likely limescale. Limescale happens from lime being left behind from hard water evaporating. Once dried out, the minerals also catch dirt and bacteria which eventually accumulate into the brown or blackish stain you see in your toilet. To remove thick and hard limescale from your toilet, use a mixture of vinegar, lemon juice, and baking soda, and scrub with a metal scrubbing brush.

Yes, a toilet, sink, and shower can share the same vent. This is a common installation method that can simplify plumbing and save space. However, there are important considerations. The vent and associated plumbing must be large enough to handle the demands of all fixtures without compromising the vent's effectiveness. Additionally, the toilet should always be located downstream of all other fixtures. Because requirements can vary and space might be limited, it is essential to check your local building and plumbing codes and consult with a qualified plumber to ensure the installation is done correctly.

You’ll likely pay between $300 and $450 to unclog your toilet with Roto-Rooter. However, the price could change depending on if the clog has caused a lot of damage, which your plumbing pro will want to inspect during your service appointment. Keep in mind that you won’t get a quote from Roto-Rooter over the phone. They have to send a pro out for an in-person cost estimate. You can also attempt to snake your own clog for a lot less, and simple drain snakes cost no more than $50.

Basement toilets don’t always need a pump. However, it is the most common setup because plumbing systems use gravity to move waste away from the home. Basement toilets often sit below the home’s main sewage system, and installing a sewage ejector pump pushes the wastewater and sewage up to the main sewer line. Alternatively, you can use an upflush or macerator toilet that breaks down the waste and pushes it straight to the main sewer line rather than via a sewer line from the bathroom.

Depending on the issue and materials, costs range from $150 to $500.
