"Cactus Contracting did a wonderful job with our fence installation! Jeff was prompt when it came to answering all of my questions, and he helped me with the financing process. My fence was installed on time and finished with an excellent result. His employees were friendly and courteous. I wouldn't hesitate to use Cactus Contracting in the future for other projects."

"Nick did an outstanding job with the stamping and sealing work. The finished patio had clean edges and the exact color my parents were looking for. Nick was extremely transparent when talking with my parents about the cost, even going into detail about every aspect involved with building the patio. Would highly highly recommend Nick and Great Roc Masonry!"

"5-Star Review – Outstanding Work, Every Single Time! I can’t say enough good things about Loria! I’ve had the pleasure of working with them on five different projects over the years—from masonry to stamped concrete patios and walkways—and every experience has been nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, their team is professional, reliable, and incredibly skilled. They communicate clearly, stay on schedule, and deliver high-quality results every single time. What I appreciate most is their attention to detail and the pride they take in their work—it's clear they care just as much about the final outcome as I do. On top of that, they’re just great people to work with. Friendly, respectful, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything turns out perfectly. If you're looking for a reliable company you can truly trust, this is the one. I wouldn’t think of hiring anyone else. Highly recommend!"

Power washing, antiquing, and sealing PRE-EXISTING stamped, broom finished, and block paved concrete walkways, patios, driveways, sidewalks, pool decks, and floors. Call or click to schedule a free estimate today!

"I contacted Concrete Care this past fall to replace three cracked sidewalk panels on my property. The contractor, Mike, came with his wife Jen, jack hammered the concrete and hauled it away. He promised to come back on a Friday and pour the new concrete. Friday came and went and he didn’t show up. After I called and texted him several times he finally came and finished the job. As soon as he was done, he bombarded me with texts, calls and emails wanting his money. He was slow to complete the work, but very quick to insist on being paid. He told me to not drive or walk on the concrete for at least a week. After a week, the concrete started to settle, and I noticed a gap on the edge of the sidewalk that was big enough for pedestrians to trip over. The finished job also looked very sloppy with visible trowel marks. I emailed Mike and Jen answered. She told me Mike had gotten COVID-19 and he couldn’t get to the job right away. We agreed to wait until the spring and she assured me I would be their first priority come spring and they’d make this right. Over the winter the concrete also began crumbling. I followed up with Mike and Jen several times and never received a response. Based on the quality of the work and the lack of follow through and communication, I wouldn’t hire this contractor again."

Decorative Concrete questions, answered by experts

Concrete pools have the longest life span. As long as you properly maintain your concrete pool, you can expect it to last 50 to 100 years. That said, you will need to resurface your concrete pool as it ages. Fiberglass is durable, but fiberglass pools generally only last around 25 to 30 years. That said, some high-end fiberglass pools can last more than 50 years if they’re well-maintained.

Yes, fiber concrete can crack, and contrary to popular belief, it will crack under similar forces to rebar-reinforced concrete. The difference is in how the crack spreads through the slab. When you exert pressure on a slab, the slab flexes downward, putting tensile forces on the bottom of the slab. In rebar concrete, a crack at the bottom will also quickly appear on the top surface. In fiber concrete, the fibers hold the two sides of that bottom crack together, making it less likely for the crack to form on the top surface.

The average thickness of a concrete basement floor should be 4 to 6 inches. The thickness of a concrete basement floor depends on your area’s building codes, the type of concrete you’re using, the load capacity, and the base flooring materials. Most residential basements require a minimum of 4 inches for standard foot traffic and light storage.

If you don’t put gravel under concrete, the concrete can crack, sink, bow, or crumble. Even the concrete forming process will not go as smoothly if you are working directly on the soil or bare bedrock. The lack of a proper gravel layer can also lead to drainage issues below your slab, leading to water issues throughout your lawn and around your foundation.

Concrete log siding can last several decades, from 30 to 50 years or more, as long as you keep up with proper maintenance. Luckily, concrete log siding is much lower maintenance than typical types of wood siding, so you’ll also have fewer expenses during that time. To keep your concrete log siding in good shape, you’ll simply need to reseal it every two to five years. Confirm with your manufacturer to determine how often to reseal.
