Great! Bruce did a great job giving my family the kitchen of our dreams! What I loved the most about Bruce was that he had a solution for every idea we suggested. We had many proposals during the remodel and he accommodated all of them. He and his team always showed up on time and have an incredible skill set. I will definitely be reaching out to him for future work and have friends and family who have used him successfully as well. Very pleased!

Bruce and his crew did an absolutely wonderful job! My entire house needed to be gutted and rebuilt after a fire. I have never seen a team work as hard as this one! They arrived early each morning and worked diligently all day. Bruce is definitely one of the "good guys". He is fair and professional. He double-checked with me before completing projects, and I am just thrilled with the results! I highly recommend the Nu-look Group!

In my contract it said that it would have latches on it. The fence itself is lovely. I would give the building of the fence an A, but when I went out there, there was no latches on it. He screwed it into the post. It's a fence that you open to park a boat or a camper behind it. So it's on a 4 x4 with hinges, so you move it. Instead of being able to move it, I have to go in the house and get a screwdriver or an electric screw driver and I have to unscrew this screw to open it up, so I didn't think anything of it and said, "Oh it looks good," so they went on their merry way, and it was only a couple of hours out at the most and my husband comes home and I go come here and look at this. This isn't right, we need latches. So he had to go out and buy all these latches. He didn't like the way it was. When the other contractor came, he was looking at it and he said, "Chris, the extra weight required that they should have put in a 6 x 6 pressure treated lumber in the ground because the one you've got there is already cracking." So then also when we went to open the gate, we couldn't, because it settled that all of the sudden we ran into the grass. We could only open it three feet. He knew that he should have upgraded, I think. I think our relationship is over.

They did my bathroom plumbing improperly. When I came home a couple of days later, there was water pouring out of my kitchen sink. The light fixture that has wrought iron wings on it, the water was pouring down those and left a puddle on the floor. I called them, they said to shut off the water. We had to leave the house, we had to eat dinner out, we had to not take showers, etc. It cost us dinner, which we weren’t going to go out, but they came at like 7 in the morning the next morning and fixed it, no problem. Within the next year and a half, my son had to come over and fix the ceiling 3 times because I kept getting cracks and he had to come over and put drywall compound and sand it out and repaint it three times. Then one day, I was sitting there and this patch, that the previous owners must have done, so I’m sitting there and this patch appears on my ceiling, and I’m like something’s really wrong here. So I called my son and he said he’s coming right over. He came over, touched it, and said, “Ma’am, this is full of water” and puts his finger right through it. Water squirts out, called Nulook, who I instantly adore them. So, my son started ripping down the drywall, because it’s the water that’s been causing me damage, which has been causing me damage. So, I’ve got mold in there and I’ve got a bathroom shower that I can no longer use, because what they came to fix was not correct. So, I found another company online with an “A” rating, and I called him on Sunday he came on Tuesday and we pulled down more drywall, filled the garbage can with drywall, and we could see the mold. Then went upstairs and first, we had to run all the sinks and all the showers, because they did two bathrooms for me and they backed up to each other. So, we had to run both showers and then we had to flush the toilets, and this went on for a half an hour. Then he finally said, Chris, we have to take a piece of drywall out, so he takes the cover off and there’s more mold and when they repaired it, they still didn’t repair it right. I took pictures and stuff and we called Nulook and the new contractor stood there right on the phone and said, “yes, this is your fault. I’m going to fix it for her or her son is going to fix it for her, we haven’t determined that, but you are going to owe her money back”, and he said, “I don’t believe it’s my fault” and he said, “well, it is”, then he said, “well, I’ll give her a little money back, but I’m not covering the whole repair”. Now, mind you, I’ve already had it repaired three times. How arrogant to not think… He had is father work for him because his wife came down with cancer, who was his partner, so, his father was working for him. He can’t know what his father’s work was like. Even his own work: people make mistakes and sometimes something goes wrong. You can’t be arrogant in your practice and deny that you have anything to do with it and say, “oh, it’s another problem and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah”. We took pictures. You could see that many, many, years ago they must have had a pluming problem that they had brand new solder and everything was brand new and excellent. The part that was wrong was the part that they did when they replaced the faucet and the handle. For a year and half, I had all this leaking. So, for them to say that they didn’t have anything to do with it is totally obnoxious. So, I sent him a whole email and a copy of the bill back in February and told him that if I didn’t hear from him, I’m just going take him to small claims court. I haven’t done that yet. I’m on social security here. I had to pay for this three-times over, plus a full-priced contractor. I don’t think that’s right. I would say Nulook contractor absolutely refused to stand behind it and I had to hire someone else to repair it. Originally, the price was an “A”. It was over $5000. Everything else was excellent, but this little plumbing problem. They’re charging you for an 8-hour day. They’re freaking you out and everything, then they’re here for 4 hours and they run out every day, and then come back for 4. I think they were rushing way too fast. But, their stuff was good. Up until this incident, their professionalism was excellent, but I’ve got to drop them down to a “C” because they blew it. I'd love to use them again, because I really was happy.

The experience was very positive. Bruce was very helpful in understanding what our goals were and made suggestions to accomplish them. He was able to work with me in my doing some of the work that I could, which helped keep cost down. His knowledge and experience became more evident as the job progressed. His work ethic is outstanding and the finished product is wonderful. I have recommended Bruce to others.

Excellent workmanship, Bruce routered a decorative edge in the solid surface countertop we picked out. The dishwasher install and countertop job was done quickly and efficiently. My favorite was the handmade crown molding he installed in the bathroom.

Bruce and Maria were at the house within an hour to take a look at the job. He returned with his dad and sons the next morning and the leak was found and was repaired. Additionally we had a totally clogged sink that was cleared. There was no mess, to repair the leak siding had to be removed, this was all put back in place and didn't look as though it was ever removed. Thank you Newlook

The attention to detail and workmanship were excellent. I had two other quotes and Bruce was the only one who saw what the source of the problem was. He correctly detected where the water was coming from and repaired that problem at the same cost the others quoted me and they didn't account for fixing the source. I also had him do a complete rebuild of a toilet, again the attention to detail was excellent. He was extremely careful, neat and professional. I routinely recommend him and Maria to everyone asking if I know someone who can handle any variety of repair and remodeling work. The cost was reasonable.

Bruce and Maria are a pleasure to work with. Bruce knows the building code backwards and forwards. He recommended a change in my design that eliminated the need to put extra footers through the concrete floor while still meeting the code. The inspectors spoke highly of his work. Maria helped with color selection and decorating alternatives. Given the quality workmanship, they were the best value we could find. Based on work activity, they never stopped for a break or lunch. They finished in half the time compared to the time estimate of the another bidder. I elected to do the finished painting and flooring myself. It gave me a chance to view the quality of Bruce’s work up close. The corner miter joints for the trim were perfect and the nailing was even and well done. The finish on the wall board made it a snap to paint. I would definitely recommend NuLook to others.

Nice people, very willing to provide good, understandable feedback. Willing to work with you in regards to budget and around your abilities as well. Non-pushy which is a big plus in my eyes. I haven't decided how to proceed with the entire project that I had him quote, but when I do he will be one of my first choices to do any work needed.

When we bought our home, the sellers had covered up water damage with paneling. We didn't realize there was a problem until Bruce and his team won the bid for the job 13 years later. As a result, his team had to pull off all of the drywall from the walls, install all new drywall, install new moulding and then paint all of it. We chose the colors.
The team also laid all new vinyl flooring with underlayment. They also redid our drop ceiling and lighting. The drop ceiling was converted from the old rectangular popcorn tiles to square tiles, and the industrial light tube fixtures were replaced with recessed lighting on dimmer switches set up in 4 different zones.
The team also removed a wet bar area that we did not use.
Lastly, a support column had been hidden by the wet bar which Bruce and the team wrapped with decorative wood to match the moulding.
Our friends who had seen the space before were amazed at the transformation.
Our son does his homework down there, practices his music there and takes his friends down there to hang out now whenever they come over.
Whenever we need work done in our home, we now call Bruce. His work is of the highest quality and his prices cannot be beaten!

Nulook did a good job at a fair price for the roof.
Mixed reviews on the new deck and a poor review on the sliding glass door install. We liked the fact they he put more lumber into the deck than any other contractor we interviewed. Since the deck is elevated by 5 feet the support posts are very visible. Unfortunately Bruce grossly miscalculated the placement of the 6 support posts, resulting in a misaligned appearance which looks very unprofessional.
Unfortunately since the cold weather hit - we are having problems with an extremely drafty sliding glass door that he installed where the cold air is blowing in more than the 43 year old one he replaced.
We started calling the first week in December requesting that Bruce come and take a look at this drafty door. The constant response from his wife Maria is that he is busy with other jobs. Finally mid-February Maria called on Bruce?s behalf. Bruce feels that the door is the problem because we didn?t go with the one he recommended. I kindly reminded Maria we went with a brand that had a better warranty and had visible reviews on the web. I couldn?t find any information on the brand of door they had recommended.
Maria suggested that I talk with the supply company rep. The rep stated there is virtually no difference between the 2 doors. The rep
put me in contact with the door manufacturer. The door rep was familiar with the work that had been done because he was at the house and felt there was nothing wrong with the door redirecting me to the installer.
I did what Maria/Bruce asked me to do ? and again I left a phone
message updating them on my conversation I had with both reps. I was hoping that Bruce would come over and lift
up the decorative molding to see if we could find where the leak is
coming from.
After 3.5 months it?s obvious that Bruce has no intention of
honoring the 10 year labor warranty as stated on the contract. At this
point we are coming to the conclusion that he is unwilling to meet his
contractual obligation.

"I went back out and took care of this for [member name removed] even thought it wasn't anything that was my fault. Ever project I have done for her she has called and had a problem. I went above and beyond for her the door company even sent a rep out and I have the paper work that the door was a perfect insulation. As far as the deck post we had to cut holes in the concrete to put the posts. Is far as the deck I gave her a good price less then all the others and did more and used bigger lumber and as far as the decking I used #1 premium decking with knots like 1/2" to 3/4" in size better then all the other company's offered her and again she said she wanted no knots as far as this decking we hand picked every piece. She watched over are shoulders threw every step of these projects. As far as the roof I did for her she watched from the ground the whole project. And at a few points told me the roof didn't look good in one spot I showed her there was a tool sitting on the roof and she said oh she thought it was messed up. I asked her to let me finish the roof and if she then seen something to let me know. I also took her sodding off and installed new flashing that no other company was going to do. And sense I have finished these projects a year ago she has called with issues telling me the the warranty I gave her means I have to keep coming back. And she expects me to drop every thing I'm doing and race to her house to look even thought none of the reasons she has called we're emergency services or safety issues. I told her same as others I will be ther in a week or so. I've been back to replace a deck board because she didn't water proof the deck like I told her she needed to. She has been the worst customer I have ever had in my 20 years in this business. She even had sherwin Williams rep come out when I was there because some other company painted her hallway and she wasn't happy with the way the paint looked and wanted sherwin Williams to repaint her hallway. I should have know then that she would be the customer that no company could ever make happy."
