"Extremely skilled, professional and detail-oriented - great follow-up. Calls when he says he will call. Cleans work area and aims to please. You get what you pay for, he won't be the lowest quote but great quality work and customer service focused. Used for drywall work. He drove around to four lumberjacks to find ceiling to match what's here in my older home. Wish we'd found him 5 yrs ago."

"At the start, it was really hard to find someone to solve my first bout of water damage, being a first time homeowner. And the offers were mostly focused either on the plumbing or the drywall, never both. But the team behind Economy did both really well and restored the effected damage like it barely happened. "Fernando and his team were simply excellent. The project was painting the kitchen walls and ceiling, but it included fixing both the walls and the ceiling and take care of numerous nail pops and some water stains resulting from a water leak upstairs. They also stained the wooden sills and painting the radiators. They were extremely meticulous in both painting and also cleaning at the end of each day. They promised to finish the job in 4 consecutive days and they did just that. They truly exceeded my expectations. Reasonable price for the effort involved and their professional workmanship! I very seldom give such high praise, but I respect hard work!"

Which style of corner bead you choose—whether metal or paper-faced—depends on your preference and if you’re comfortable using metal-cutting tools and a hammer. Metal bead offers superior strength and durability but its installation is slightly more involved. We’d say for most cases, it’s better to use metal bead but if you’re not comfortable working with metal, paper-faced bead will work just fine. 

It is more difficult to drywall a ceiling than it is to drywall a wall, but not so hard that DIYers can’t tackle it. The joints between drywall sheets are the weak spots, so if you install drywall with seams aligned, you’ll create weak lines that run across the length of the wall and extend from floor to ceiling. But when you stagger drywall, the solid sections of panels will support the joints. This can prevent seams from cracking or separating due to fluctuating temperature and humidity, vibrations from movement inside the home, and gravity.

Yes, it is possible to rewire a house without removing the drywall, but this doesn’t work in all homes. You can pull out old wires and insert new ones if you have access to the wiring system via the ceiling or through a crawl space. Some pros can also use a magnetic kit to fish the old wire out of the wall through a hole cavity and install the new wires. Just keep in mind that doing this is less stable than removing drywall, as you won’t be able to staple the wires into the framing.
