"Chad replaced nine windows in my house including two sliders, a three piece bay window and multiple two piece windows. This work was done in May 2017. Over one year later everything Chad committed to still holds. My electric and gas costs have been reduced over 20% verses my 1980’s windows Plus clarity and UV protection is far superior. I live at 7600 plus feet above sea level and there are no issues with seals giving out. Chad provided a superior window and came in price wise within 10% of the cheapest quote I got from another vendor for a lesser quality window. If you do not at least give Chad an opportunity to present his product to you I would say you are cheating yourself."

"Brothers kept me informed about everything. The guys showed up on time, started work immediately. Both of them were very polite as well as informative. It took about 3 hours. The job was left clean, couldn’t tell they had been there except for the beautiful windows. I will recommend them to my friends. I would also hire them Nv again if I need to."

"My pellet stove kept shutting off. William was able to diagnose the problem and repair it the same day. The exhaust was backed up with soot. He also cleaned the chimney, seems it had alot of creosote buildup I have had other contractors look at it with no diagnosis. One contractor said that it was too old and no parts were available. I would highly recommend KB Tech if you are having problems with your pellet stove. I will call him again if/when there is another problem. He was friendly and left no mess."

"I would give this company 10 stars if I could!! Jake was very responsive to text and phone messages. We set an appointment and he sent a reminder text the day before. Showed up right on time, in fact a few minutes early. Very professional and personable. Awesome experience, great company and will be recommending them to all neighbors and friends."

"Needed a double closet repaired after 24 years of wear and tear. Rod and hangars were falling off the wall. New hangars were installed securely (better than the original ones). A sturdier upper shelf was installed, and everything was painted. I no longer have to worry about finding my clothes on the floor. Great job, great workers. Would hire again."

Windows questions, answered by experts

To tell if a window is single or double-pane, focus on the edge. Double-pane windows have two glass layers separated by a spacer, which you can usually see around the edges. For single-pane windows, it’s just one sheet of glass. Another easy trick: shine a light at the window—single-pane glass reflects once, while double-pane glass reflects twice. Lastly, if you feel both sides of the glass on a cold day, double-paned windows will feel warmer because of the insulating gap between the panes.

There are a few reasons your crank windows might not close. First, determine if your window crank is working properly and opening and closing the window when you turn it. If it’s not, the crank may need replacing, cleaning, or lubricating. Another reason your windows aren’t closing could be dirt and debris in the window hinges or sash. Finally, make sure your window lock operator is set in the unlocked position and isn’t blocking the window from fully closing. If you’re still having trouble closing your window, it may be worth consulting a local window contractor.

The material around a window is simply called the window frame, but the individual pieces also have different names. The top portion of the frame is called the head, the side pieces are called jambs, and the bottom portion is called the sill. If you have multiple windows next to each other, you’ll also have a mullion, which is the frame piece that separates the individual windows. Windows stacked on top of each other are separated by a horizontal frame piece, which is called a transom.

Yes, but professionals use specialized equipment and cleaning solutions to safely achieve streak-free, long-lasting results.

Whether you need a permit to install a bay window depends on the project's scope. Replacing an existing bay window typically does not require a permit. However, if you are adding a new bay window, requirements can vary. Adding a new bay window to the front of your house usually requires a building permit, while adding one to the side or back of your house often does not. It's always best to check with your local municipality to confirm the specific requirements in your area. Additionally, if you live in a historic district, you should consult your neighborhood association to ensure your project complies with their construction guidelines. If you're unsure about the process, a professional can provide guidance.
