"Jesse from Epic Carpet Tile and Stone Cleaning came to my home to reseal my shower and clean the bathroom tiles. The results are truly impressive. Jesse is professional and takes great care to ensure that the job is done right. I am so happy with this outcome that I have added more work to his plate. He is very respectful, friendly and takes the time to explain the process and answer any questions. I highly recommend Jesse and Epic Carpet Tile and Stone Cleaning for carpet cleaning and any tile and grout cleaning or resealing needs because he goes above and beyond. It is truly 5-star service."

"The quote process was extremely fast and professional. However, there was a brief communication issue during the final selection of the flooring, but it was eventually resolved. The initial installation date did not happen because the installer called in ill the morning of the install. A second date was set for two days later. That installation went smooth and by the numbers. The installer, Cameron, was very pleasant and went above and beyond in transforming my floor in the guest bathroom."

"We needed an outdoor carpet to be glued to an existing wood deck. Ricardo answered my request and said he could do it. He was able to do it within a week of the request and even worked with us on pricing, which was much appreciated. He made suggested putting bullnose edging around the carpet, which was not on the original carpet but should have been. He did a wonderful job. Because of the size of the carpet, he had to seam it together and the seam is not even visible. Will definitely use him again on other projects."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Carpet installation in Reno offers immediate warmth during cold winters, reduces noise from busy streets, and provides extra insulation for energy efficiency. Over time, quality carpet can increase property value, lower heating needs, and withstand temperature swings. Selecting hypoallergenic carpet fibers also helps reduce pollen and dust, making homes in Reno more comfortable and attractive to future buyers.

Helpful?

When hiring a carpet installation pro in Reno, look for experience with dry, high-altitude conditions and familiarity with concrete slab subfloors. Ask for local references and check that they offer a clear installation warranty. Reliable pros communicate timelines, use climate-appropriate materials, and have strong relationships with area suppliers. Be wary of unusually low bids or high-pressure sales tactics.

Helpful?

For carpet installation in Reno, keep a humidifier to balance dry air, a digital thermometer to monitor room temperature, and a carpet tucker for tight spaces. Essential tools include a power stretcher, knee kicker, seaming iron, utility knife with spare blades, tack strip cutter, and concrete nails. Extra carpet padding and transition strips are helpful for high-traffic or climate-sensitive areas.

Helpful?

In Reno, hidden costs with carpet installation often include fees for drilling into concrete slabs, charges for moisture barriers, and expenses for climate control during extreme weather. You might also encounter costs for subfloor repairs, upgraded transition strips, or moving furniture. Don’t overlook possible permit fees, HOA approvals, or disposal charges for old carpet, especially if adhesives or special materials are used.

Helpful?

In Reno, homeowners often skip letting carpet acclimate to the dry, high-desert air, leading to shrinkage or buckling. Mismeasuring rooms with angled walls or alcoves is common, as is choosing plush or loop pile carpets that don’t handle low humidity well. Skimping on moisture-resistant carpet padding or neglecting to seal concrete subfloors can also cause long-term issues in this climate.
