"Thomas was recommended by my regular pool guy - who is injured and physically unable to work. Could not be more pleased with the entire experience. Quick response - he was able to fit me in his normal rotation. Thomas gave me a time window and kept me updated when he was 30 minutes out. The work he performed was fantastic - vacuumed a 20 x 60 pool and cleaned my filters. Checked my other equipment and was on his way."

"Joshua, owner of Pools Unlimited arrived on time with an apprentice to service my in ground spa. When he arrived, he introduced himself and his apprentice and informed me as to what he was going to do for the service. I must say, after approximately 45 minutes to an hour, the team did an excellent job of servicing the filters and pumps. When they completed the job, Joshua took me around the unit and spa to show me what was done and to give me his observations about the equipment. I appreciate his candid and straight forward comments concerning the equipment and the thorough job that was performed! Thank you

"Although I am an Angies' member I have not to this point ever written a review. But the service and professionalism of everyone from the order taker to the billing department was so exceptional that I had to document it for any others who might need their services. Special recognition must go out to 'Bruce,' the service professional who actually did the job. Not only was he knowledgeable but also quick and clean. I just had the feeling I was in good hands the whole time he was here...and what's more I never felt if I was being up sold or offered services that I did not need. Truly, the next time I require any of the services they offer ProServ will get my business. Steve M."

"o were going to charge me 3 times what I paid Tim.Tim was very professional and brought Justin (or maybe Dustin) with him.  We agreed I would pay him for 8 hrs labor regardless of how long the jobs took. This was to ensure they weren't rushed and my jobs were done correctly. It was my idea since I had a lot of honey-do's to complete.  They arrived on time and started with finding a leak on my tile roof that caused water damage during heavy rains.  After 1/2 hour the leak was found and repaired. The roof was put back together. They then replaced a 4 X 4 piece of drywall, texture and completed. GFI's were next then help with moving furniture.  They showed up at 9 am and were done by 3 pm.  I was extremely happy with them as people and the quality of their work. I would use them in a heartbeat again whenever I am in need of some help.  I received several bids from roofers and drywall experts wh

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

Yes. If you test the water and the alkalinity is too low, you can raise it by adding an alkalinity increaser, which likely came with your hot tub’s chemical kit. In a pinch, you can use baking soda to raise the hot tub’s alkalinity. Raising the alkalinity will prevent the hot tub water from becoming too acidic.

To refill a hot tub after winter, start by opening up the tub and giving it a quick cleaning. If you use antifreeze, drain out the water then grab a hose and thoroughly clean the tub shell out, spraying water into each jet of the tub.

Reconnect the hot tub and turn the power back on. When it’s time to fill the tub again, insert the hose into the filter well (if available). Avoid trapping too much air in the water lines, which can cause the pump to lock up when it starts again. Add the necessary chemicals and start the heating process. It will take some time—most of a full day—for the water to heat up again.

How often you change the water in your swim spa depends on how often you use it. Most manufacturers recommend changing the water every three to six months. If you use your swim spa throughout the seasons, it’s a good idea to set up a quarterly deep cleaning schedule. The ideal instructions should be in the owner’s manual.

Yes, but only if it is a freshwater tub (not saltwater) and if you make sure the chlorine and bromine levels are below 1 ppm.

Though a hot tub has many benefits, there are a few cons. Mainly, hot tubs require a lot of maintenance. You’ll need to deep clean yours quarterly, test the pH at least once or twice a week, and add sanitizing chemicals once a week. They also have relatively high ongoing costs since you’ll need to pay for electricity and repairs.
