"Richard Leavitt, electrician, did our electrical assessment and estimate. Personable, knows his stuff. Today, Luis Hernandez & Jonathan worked from 9 am thru lunch til 4:30 to complete the long list of necessary repairs/upgrades & bath exhaust fan replacement. Luis & Jonathan went above and beyond in the work and ìn customer relations. Luis checked with us throughout the day. Most impressed."

"My original was to replace the hinges and hasp on the old outdoor access door for my water heater. I was convinced due to the condition of my old weathered door. I would be better served by a new Crafted door. The next day the handyman arrived on time. With the materials needed crafted and installed a new access door. 2 hours 300 dollars. I am very pleased with the workmanship."

"I bought a foreclosure in 2012, and there were so many things that needed to be fixed or replaced.
Jung has been coming to my house for years to make repairs and has installed everything from faucets and sinks to ceiling fans and electrical work, even assembling furniture. He is professional and trustworthy with a great eye for detail.  I'm very picky about who comes into my home to work, and I'm grateful that I found Jung on Angie's List.

"We had a wall taken out to expand our family room recently and all the wiring that had been in that wall was hanging loose or randomly tucked up in the ceiling.  The job was to figure out that mess, and do whatever was necessary (this was beyond our abilities) to secure the wiring safely and install a new ceiling fan and wall switch.
There was a minor hiccup in scheduling which resulted in rescheduling for the very next day with an extra hour thrown of work thrown in.
The handyman, Chris, called to say he was running a bit late, but showed up at a reasonable time and got to work.  He was very pleasant and polite and quickly figured out what our priorities were (the wiring mess) and figured out what needed to be done.  He removed a lot of extra wire, secured junction boxes, built a support for the wall switch, hung the fan and got everything to work.
We are very happy with the result.  It was money well spent, and we absolutely will hire him again."

"So professional and they did great work! I thought with the number of ceiling fans involved that it would be an all day project. It took just a few hours and I am so impressed with their skill!"

"Tim and Justin arrived close to the agreed arrival time. Previous job had a glitch. I told them what I wanted and they got right to work. I had some specific requests that they were able to accommodate while installing my blinds. They didn't waste time but completed each project and then moved onto the next. I also asked for advice on projects that I want to do down the road which they gave freely and honestly. f

I was completely satisfied with these guys. I hope they stay around as I intend to use them for years to come for home projects and repairs.

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Your bathroom exhaust fan shouldn't be loud. However, bath fans come in a wide variety of models, price points, and loudness characteristics, and yours may be louder or quieter than others you notice. Economy models tend to be the noisiest, with levels of 4.0 sones or more, which is about the sound of an electric shaver, while some high-end models can be barely audible.

It is unlikely that a ceiling fan will fall, even if it develops a wobble. During a proper installation, ceiling fans are securely bolted to a ceiling joist, and the fasteners used for mounting are generally separate from the components related to balancing. A wobble is typically caused by an imbalance, which can be annoying and may lead to other issues, but is not usually dangerous on its own.

However, if a fan is wobbling because it was not installed correctly, it could be at risk of falling. For safety, it's always a good idea to ensure all mounting screws are tight and to address any wobbling or imbalance issues promptly.

The number of blades for your fan poses both advantages and disadvantages. Typically, the more blades on a fan, the better the air distribution and cooling effect, but this also means that your fan will have more wear on its motor. For small rooms, three-blade fans should work fine. For larger areas like living rooms, four or five-blade fans might be the better option.

Wood stove fans are designed to operate quietly, emitting only a subtle hum from their motor. This low noise level ensures minimal disruption in your living space, allowing you to enjoy the warmth without distraction. The fan blades, which are engineered for efficient air circulation, contribute to the overall quiet operation. This makes wood stove fans a practical choice for maintaining a peaceful environment while effectively distributing heat throughout your room or home.

For a 12x12 room, a fan between 36" and 50" will work, as it falls in the range for spaces up to 144 square feet. These size fans provide adequate air circulation and ensure a comfortable environment without being overpowering. Even better, they come in a broad range of styles, offering aesthetics and functionality, making them suitable choices for maintaining an ideal room temperature and enhancing overall comfort.
