"Geoff and Steve made this a great experience. My first time buying a house and didn't know what to expect. They were very thorough and went over the report with me at the end of the inspection. They helped me understand what I was looking at and what I should be concerned with. They also were funny guys. Great job!!"

His jovial personality makes everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. Jon is detailed oriented and with his asst Kim, there is no room for mistakes. His precision detailed report along with photographic pictures were beyond our expectation. His aerial shots from above was the icing on the cake. Wow !!! The report we received that evening was our Christmas gift being that time was of the essence in our situation. "Rooter Ranger plumbing, Las Vegas Expensive plumber! The technician was prompt and polite when he snaked out my bathroom sink for a $147 charge. However I knew my sink needed to be “jetter cleaned” for the long-term solution. I asked the technician for a quote regarding Jetting my bathroom sink line. He quoted me $1190. That charge is expensive and inappropriate for the job. I live in a four-story condo and I am on the first floor. The line to be “jetter cleaned” is not a main sewer line, it is a secondary line that extends for approximately 25 feet. There are no extenuating circumstances to this jetter job……The proposed $1190 fee from Rooter Ranger is inappropriate for this scenario. It is an over-charge. I had the work performed by another plumbing company listed in Angi. The charge was $675. I would not recommend Rooter Ranger Plumbing."

No employees. I do all inspections and reports personally. Normally the fee is due at the time of inspection, but I will bill through escrow for a small additional fee.

"If you're looking to save money with getting solar this company is not the way to go. They will scam you to make you pay more than you would be paying with just the bill for energy alone. They are crooks that are only there to take you for your money. Before hiring a company I recommend anybody to check out the companies on the contracting board for the license you'll see this company has one too many disciplinary actions and currently is on probation for violating more than one of those. Now I have to file a complaint with the contracting board as well as take them to small claims because they they manipulated and lied to me and now I'm paying more for solar than I would be with just electricity alone they are scam artist"

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

Routine inspections are normal for rental properties. The frequency is up to the landlord. Some property owners only want to check the apartment annually. Others may take a look every three to six months. State laws vary, but more frequent visits may violate a tenant’s “covenant of quiet enjoyment.” This refers to the resident’s right to enjoy relative privacy and freedom from unreasonable disturbances.

There are several signs that your house might have poor ventilation, including lingering odors, condensation on your windows, or mold and mildew. Your home may also feel stale and stuffy, or you might have trouble maintaining a comfortable temperature in your home. On top of that, you might develop allergy symptoms, such as sneezing, coughing, or headaches.

You should schedule a fireplace inspection at least once a year, per the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). However, this is the minimum requirement even if you’re diligent with fireplace maintenance between uses. If you suspect your fireplace is malfunctioning, schedule one sooner to avoid fire hazards or the release of harmful emissions like carbon monoxide in your home.

Having a garage installed certainly adds to the value of your home. The consideration is not whether it adds value, but for many, they want to know if adding a garage yields a return on their investment or ROI. While garages can add anywhere from 5% to 20% of the total value of your property, that doesn’t mean that they return 5% to 20% of the money invested in building them. Most homeowners build garages for a purpose but know that you can recover your investment when you sell or refinance.

Living in a house with smoke damage could be safe on a temporary basis, but it depends on the severity and type of smoke damage. If you have major smoke damage or soot present from a fire, you should relocate to keep you and your family safe. Breathing in soot can cause respiratory issues, and it can contain carcinogens, so move out until you get professional remediation done. Your insurance company may cover the cost for alternative housing while your professional works.
