Customers say: True professional

"The company responded quickly and the service gentlemen was very knowledgeable, even though we have a very old pool heater system. We were afraid that we would need to get a whole new heater, but he was able to ascertain the issue quickly, said it may just be the sensor and low and behold it was. We were very pleased."

"It was the most organized and amazing jobs I have witnessed in a long time. They drained my pool(20,000 gal) in one hour. The hole job took only four hours. Refilling took over night till midday the next day. I was in the pool that night."

"Tim and Justin arrived close to the agreed arrival time. Previous job had a glitch. I told them what I wanted and they got right to work. I had some specific requests that they were able to accommodate while installing my blinds. They didn't waste time but completed each project and then moved onto the next. I also asked for advice on projects that I want to do down the road which they gave freely and honestly. f

I was completely satisfied with these guys. I hope they stay around as I intend to use them for years to come for home projects and repairs.

"It went well. It's just that the guy was kind of stubborn and wouldn't listen to us. When he was taking the toilet out, we just kept asking him to wrap the bottom in a trash bag. He was going, "Oh, it's fine. It's not going to leak. It's not going to leak." We kept giving him trash bag saying, "Please." He just ignored the trash bag and took it out to the curb and it just leaked toilet water all throughout the house. It was just him, his attitude. We kept trying to tell him to do it and he wouldn't listen. He goes, "I do this all the time. It's not going to leak." And then, when it leaked all over he is going, "Oh, that's clean water anyways. That's clean water." It was coming from the bottom of the toilet and you can't clean that part. It was $200 for the toilet, installing it and price of the toilet. He said it was additional $60 or $70 to install the water shut off valve. I thought the toilet was okay but the valve was over priced. He showed up on time."

Welcome to 9th Island Pool Service.\n\nMy name is Thomas, owner and operator of 9th Island Pool Service. I personally handle every pool I service, providing dependable weekly pool maintenance, professional water chemistry management, equipment inspections, filter cleaning, green pool recovery, and energy-efficient pool solutions throughout Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin, Green Valley, Anthem, Inspirada, Silverado Ranch, Enterprise, and Southern Highlands.\n\nWorking in the Las Vegas desert means understanding the unique challenges Southern Nevada pools face ? extreme heat, rapid chlorine loss, evaporation, calcium buildup, and constant equipment demand. My service is specifically designed for desert pool conditions to help homeowners protect their investment while keeping their pools clean, balanced, efficient, and swim-ready year-round.\n\nAs a small owner-operated business, you?re not dealing with a large rotating company or different technicians every week. You get direct communication, reliable scheduling, detailed care, and personalized service from someone who genuinely takes pride in the work.\n\nEvery weekly service includes:\n? Skimming surface debris\n? Brushing pool and spa\n? Vacuuming as needed\n? Emptying skimmer and pump baskets\n? Testing and adjusting chemical levels\n? Monitoring water balance\n? Inspecting pool equipment\n? Tracking pool condition and performance\n\n9th Island Pool Service combines professional pool care with reliability, honesty, and the Aloha spirit. Whether you need ongoing weekly service, help recovering a green pool, filter maintenance, equipment upgrades, or professional pool care tailored for Las Vegas and Henderson desert conditions, my goal is simple: keep your pool operating efficiently and looking its best year-round.

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.

Both saunas and steam rooms offer some health benefits as well as a good return on investment. While there’s more research on saunas than steam rooms and fewer reported risks with steam rooms, the latter tend to be better for reducing stress. Which one is better depends on the benefits you’re looking for, your budget, and if you have space to build a sauna.

A home sauna may be considered a luxury item by some homebuyers, which can provide a good return on investment. However, whether it increases your home's value ultimately depends on the buyer, as some may not want to take on the extra costs and maintenance associated with heating and upkeep.

No, you should only choose high-quality wood to build your sauna. Not all types of woods can withstand the pressure from heat or moisture. Only use softwoods, such as cedar and aspen, that are known for absorbing heat and resisting water.

Considering the cost of tools, parts, and hiring assisted labor, building your own sauna can cost almost as much as purchasing one. It is less expensive to buy sauna kits, since they are premade and easier to set up. Still, you may need to hire a professional to assist in electric or plumbing installation.
