"Casey was professional, timely and gave me immediate feedback on the appalling work done by the contractor who demoed the bath tub and installed a walkin shower. He wouldnt touch it until that has been fixed."

"I hired Doug Kissman at Kybrie Construction West to rebuild 2 wood decks, and rebuild a wooden entryway 2 years ago, and I am really pleased with how everything turned out, even with the wood product supply challenges left over from the tariffs on Canada, and supply chain issues due to the lingering effects of the pandemic. It was a challenging project due to the positioning of a large boulder near the house, and the need to tie the entryway into the exit from the garage under the house. I had approved plans, but it was tricky to make everything fit. Doug and his crew were great, and I am really pleased with the way the project turned out. The project passed inspection easily. I couldn't be more pleased with the final result. Doug is great to work with, and I recommend him highly"

Pool Table Assembly questions, answered by experts

You do not need to excavate or lay a foundation for a stock tank pool. You should, however, level the area where you plan to put the stock tank. Also, stock tanks full of water and people can get heavy, so do not place them on a deck or other raised structure that could collapse from the weight.

No, you should not use an extension cord with an aboveground pool pump. In addition to being dangerous as a tripping hazard, use of an extension cord could void your pool pump’s warranty. This is because using an extension cord not rated for use with the pool filter pump could damage this equipment.

If a pool turns green after adding salt, there’s a good chance the salt is the problem. Certain brands of salt have high levels of iron that cause pool water to take on a green hue. Test your pool water to determine if this is the issue. The green color will usually filter out. Brush the sides of the pool to knock the iron off.

This is just one reason a pool can turn green that is specific to adding salt. Many other reasons a pool can turn green include algae growth, low chlorine levels, a faulty filter, etc.

Your contractor will need several days to several weeks as far as a timeline to install your semi-inground pool goes. Adapting an aboveground pool to be semi-inground by excavating and partially burying the liner, for example, will only take three to five days, while installing an in-ground pool with a poured concrete liner and building up the land around it will require several weeks. Keep in mind that the process of hiring a pool contractor and applying for permits can add several additional weeks to the total timeline.

It’s okay to leave a pool pump on 24-7. In fact, running it continuously has big upsides, including consistently distributing chemicals, keeping a steady pool temperature, preventing algae growth, and keeping pool water clean. However, there is a tradeoff—operating a pool pump around the clock increases energy costs and can take a toll on the pump’s longevity. If you want to run your pool pump all the time, invest in energy-saving equipment like a variable-speed pump.
