Small jobs welcome

"Donald was excellent!!Never expected my ash tree to look so refreshed and healthy after removal of the ivy ( almost from the ground to the top of the tree)Honest, hardworking. He was at least $400 under the next lowest estimate. He was spot on his estimated time frame. . He is now my go to arborist for any of my work related to trees. I would recommend Donald at Arbtrek to anyone who wants excellent work for an honest price!! Just incredible!!"

"Joel and Donald ï¼ owner operatorsï¼ , arrived on our agreed time and began the removal of trees (two large Ash trees immediately. The trees were located in an area with decorative grass, bushes and a water feature. They protected everything perfectly. They completed the job within four hours including clean up. Very impressive. We will definitely have them take care of all our other trees in the future. Obviously, we would recommend to anyone needing tree care."

"We had some old juniper bushes which were a fire hazard. I know the young man underbid the project because a good part of the bushes were young stemmed and very difficult to remove. Great customer service. I would recommend them."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The best tool to cut trees is a chain saw. You can adjust your chain saw to the correct size based on the size of the branches, offering you the fastest and cleanest cut for medium- to large-sized trees. Depending on the type of chainsaw you use, you can cut through larger trees than you would with a more manual tool like an ax.

Lightning can cause massive damage, fires, and openings for other threats like bugs or fungal diseases. Barring any large fires or explosions, it’s difficult to tell how much damage a lightning strike has done until after a thorough inspection. Contact local authorities immediately if lightning strikes a tree in your yard and it causes a fire or explosion.

A tree branch should start to form roots in about three months. It can take about a year for a tree branch to develop roots strong enough to go in the ground. For best results, start several branches because, no matter how closely you follow instructions, they won’t all form roots. Compost any that aren’t thriving.

Make sure the tree roots soak around a day before you dig the tree up for the transplant. Keep the roots wet while the tree is above ground. After the transplant is finished, provide consistent water every day for the first month or so. You don’t want to overwater the tree, but you do want to keep the roots wet so they can thrive in their new environment.

Often, it’s the homeowner’s responsibility to handle the aftermath when a neighbor’s tree falls on their property. But if a tree has been obviously dead for a significant period of time and caused damage when it fell, a case can be made that the owner should have removed it, especially if the neighbor wrote you a letter about the tree or asked you to take it down. This can be grounds for a successful lawsuit in claims court and is a good reason to always pay attention to your trees and remove dead trees before they fall.
