"At 9 am this morning Wife discovered a serious water leak under the guest bathroom sink. Vanity and adjacent drywall was wet. Found the source of the leak. Called Lindi, Kim jumps right on it and puts us on the priority list. John arrives at 1 pm and immediately repairs the initial problem and recommended replacing a second line to insure we donâ t have any future problems! Thank you Lindi Corp, Kim and John!! "Went very well. A lot of aggravation for everyone as your dealing with a utility company and a city building dept. However job was done no worries about the corrosive pipe letting go with and bad outcome."

"I only use James when I need some work done to my house. He responds fast, gets the work done quicker than just about anyone else I've ever used and seems very concerned with leaving his customers happy."

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

Yes, a crawl space can add value to your home. However, there is a higher chance of it adding value if it is an enclosed crawl space, as this reduces issues caused by excess moisture in the home. That being said, a basement does add more value than a crawl space.

Ideal humidity conditions generally range from 30% to 50%, with 45% considered optimal humidity for most homes. If your humidity levels drop below that range, you can turn your dehumidifier off. Additionally, suppose the temperature where the dehumidifier is installed falls below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. In that case, it's best to turn it off and unplug it since cooler temperatures can cause the unit's coils to freeze.

Sandbags are the most common and efficient way to create a flood barrier at home. Some local authorities pass them around to homes before the risk of a flood. Otherwise, you can use flood-proof house materials, like burlap or woven plastic bags, to make sandbags and fill them with sand or cat litter. Make sure that when you stack them, they’re tightly laid on top of each other, creating the effect of a firm wall against accumulating water.

Installing storm windows can protect your home’s interior from heavy storms. Most storm windows are made with enamel-coated aluminum with screens and sliding glass panels. They also make your house more energy-efficient. The average storm window cost is $12,000, ranging between $4,250 and $19,850, depending on mounting, window types, glass types, and frame materials.

A crawl space can be as little as 42 inches below the grade of your house, but this is not always recommended in flood-prone areas. At a minimum, there must be at least 16 inches of clearance between the ground and the floor joists to access the space in an emergency.
