"Felipe and his crew did a large project for me (back porch) and myriad smaller items to repair our new home. Short version: I'll definitely be using them again and recommending them, but you need to be engaged. They are not a set-and-forget crew. In general, the quality of the work is high. The porch is exactly as we imagined it and we're quite happy. The only issues I have with some of the work is the fit and finish. Roofing nails missing the joists weren't redone, so now there are nails hanging into my porch. The ramset nails they used to attach the base plate to the concrete pad had some kind of wax/rubber around them which wasn't completely removed prior to painting, so there are weird nubs sticking up on the base plate. Some of the screws on door moulding weren't puttied over. The biggest issue I had with them was communication and scheduling. Felipe forgot a few parts of the project and things got dropped a few times. It worked out because I was paying close attention, but I think he may just have too much going on so things will fall between the cracks. Scheduling was a regular issue. Our project took place right outside of our bedroom, so we wanted to know the night before if they would be there. It was about 50/50 whether they'd give us that heads up. They also broke an expensive high security lock and I was not reimbursed or discounted. On the scale of the project, it was a rounding error in cost, but it's the principle of the matter on that one."

"Kevin worked efficiently and did an excellent job of assembling the IKEA shelf unit. He was creative in fastening it to the wall (for safety). He cleaned up the work space, and he was personable to have in my home."

Every major phase of workâ foundation, framing, roof, stucco, etc.â was followed by a state inspection. Nobody ever thought about dodging the rules, and that was a great comfort. When it was done, Mike's crew restored the entire area to its original condition and he gave us a tutorial on all the little things we should know as new garden shed owners. Mike's high standards made us feel like this job was in the right hands. Mike always had time to answer my questions, no matter how dumb. He was accessible, honest, and friendly ... and very knowledgeable. And get this: He didn't ask for our last payment until AFTER the job was done to our satisfaction. When our 350sf shed/greenhouse was finished, my wife and I toasted and considered the project worth every penny. Would we hire Mike again? Without a moment's hesitation, and we probably will. Take my advice: Hire Amtek and skip all the headaches and heartaches of ordinary contractors."

"Highly recommend these guys! Went beyond customer service expectation and communicated through the entire process. I first got our walk path done by them, stamped concrete and also flagstone. I then had them do a retaining wall that almost wrapped around our entire property including added stairs for the dogs, and in the back yard a added grilling area. The retaining wall process required much work because they had to dig and level. To me the price was very fair , major house projects that are done correctly are not cheap , but the outcome is all worth it because it looks amazing and is done right. These guys know what they are doing, are honest , and their work ethic is absolutely amazing."
