Mike and Andrew (and Jose) created the absolute best building/construction project experience I have ever experienced, HANDS DOWN! They completed my 30'x40' shop ahead of schedule and used the best materials throughout the entire project. I'm very greatful for the fantastic shop they built for me If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

Mike hung in there in spite of all the permitting issues affecting the project. The materials and workmanship were of high quality. I would recommend Amtec Builders.

In a time where it's so hard to find honest contractors mike was a breath of fresh air. Honest dependable and exceptional work quality. This was by far the best experience I have ever had with a business. Not to mention the fact that he is in the contractor business where the dependability and honesty factor is almost always missing so it was so nice to find such an honest individual.

Mike and his team built us a workshop, and we are absolutely thrilled with the result. We had tried working with a few other contractors who either behaved unprofessionally or simply ghosted us. My experiences on HomeAdvisor have been, frankly, mostly unsatisfactory. But Amtek Builders was a real gem among a lot of dirty pebbles. We hired Mike Antonen of Amtek to build a garden shed and greenhouse for a small vineyard and extensive planted grounds around our home. We didn't want the kind of pre-fab shed you can buy in big-box stores' parking lots. We wanted a structure that closely mirrored our home's architecture and colors, but was practical and cost-efficient. Mike spent the time to understand our wishes. When all the professional plans were done and proper permits arranged, work began. Amtek's crews were always on time and did a good day's work, always leaving their workspace as clean as they possibly could. Every major phase of workâ foundation, framing, roof, stucco, etc.â was followed by a state inspection. Nobody ever thought about dodging the rules, and that was a great comfort. When it was done, Mike's crew restored the entire area to its original condition and he gave us a tutorial on all the little things we should know as new garden shed owners. Mike's high standards made us feel like this job was in the right hands. Mike always had time to answer my questions, no matter how dumb. He was accessible, honest, and friendly ... and very knowledgeable. And get this: He didn't ask for our last payment until AFTER the job was done to our satisfaction. When our 350sf shed/greenhouse was finished, my wife and I toasted and considered the project worth every penny. Would we hire Mike again? Without a moment's hesitation, and we probably will. Take my advice: Hire Amtek and skip all the headaches and heartaches of ordinary contractors.

Excellent service, craftsmanship, and price!

More than a detached garage, it serves as a woodworking shop which needed to conform to HOA covenants and match the style and detail of adjacent home. Mike and crew were exceptional. I am very please with the final product. Quality of work was excellent. Changes in details which deviated from original plan and contract were negotiated and accommodated. Quality of materials used and attention to details of fit and final appearance inside and out exceeded expectations. Work crews were courteous and considerate that they were working at my home. Job site was kept orderly and construction debris removed in a timely manner. Mike was very communicative of current status and next steps in the construction. He took time to answer question and offered suggestions for improvements not detailed in the original design (done by 3rd-party). Overall, excellent experience and a product that exceeded my expectations.

Mike, the owner of Amtec is one of the nicest people I know. He is always on top of things and his employees are top notch and very good at what they do. Ametec started my 19’ x 42’ workshop from the ground up and I’ve seen nothing but professional work. If you need something built or remodel call Mike at Amtek.

Mike was a pleasure to work with when I had my workshop built. The crews he brought were hard working, professional and very pleasant. Mike was on site whenever there were crews working to answer any questions and check on the quality of work. I would definitely use Amtec again and have already recommended them.
