"Mountainside was easy to work with and I was pleased with how the staff listened to my questions. The work went quickly and cleanup was nice. My neighbors (some are in construction) complimented the results. I ordered concrete color tiles from Davis Concrete Colors. The web picture and color sheets don’t show them accurately. "Sandia Vista's owner, Gus, responded quickly to my call.  We set up a meeting to see what needed to be done.  He provided a quote by e-mail the next day.  We talked again, and I accepted his quote.  He scheduled the work around my schedule so I could be at the house if I was needed for any reason.  The block was finished in one afternoon - then I decided to add another section.  That work was done in one afternoon.  The stucco work was finished after the block work.  All in all, it was a very pleasant experience.  I can assure you that if I need any work done in the future, I will call Sandia Vista Construction.

"Cesar and his team poured concrete and stamped it in our backyard. Cesar laid turf and built retainer walls. All work was done promptly and professionally. They cleaned up and left the yard looking great. Will hire again in the future"

"They had to go out and purchase the gutter and supplies (I reimbursed them) which used up a fair amount of the time I was to have in the offer (4 hours) and when I discussed other things they might do in the 4 hours, they declined, stating those items were excluded from the offer or beyond what they could do (for ex, some door weatherstripping). I was very happy they did offer to come back and move a shed. It was an additional fee that I felt was very reasonable and well done.  It all evened out when added together.

"Saw it in my friends garage and decided i would get it done. Wonderful. Garage seems like it is part of the house. It was so good I immediately resurfaced the driveway. It is something that I notice every day. Really glad I did it. My wife now wants to use Prosper1 to resurface the back patio and swimming pool next spring. Much, much nicer than epoxy coating."

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

A layer of exposed aggregate concrete should be 1 to 2 inches thick if you’re installing it on top of existing concrete. If you’re pouring a new slab with the finish, slab thickness will depend on the application. Exposed aggregate concrete driveways should be 4 to 6 inches thick in most cases or 8 to 12 inches for commercial vehicles. Sidewalks, patios, and walkways should be 4 inches thick.

Yes, you can fill cracks in concrete if you’re a somewhat handy homeowner. It’s important to know which concrete patching method to use, as small cracks require different approaches than large ones. It might seem challenging to determine which product to use and the tools necessary for the project, but with a bit of background, homeowners can restore their cracked concrete easily.

The average cost to repair a concrete driveway ranges from approximately $830 to $2,800, with a typical project costing around $1,765. The price varies widely depending on the type and extent of the damage. Minor crack repairs can be as low as $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot and may be a DIY project. More significant repairs are priced per square foot: replacing a damaged slab costs about $6 to $14, while raising or leveling sunken concrete costs $3 to $25. Resurfacing is another option, costing around $3 to $5 per square foot. Factors influencing the total price include the size of the affected area, whether reinforcement is needed, and labor costs.

For thin driveway cracks that aren’t widening or lengthening, a polyurethane crack filler is usually the best way to seal the crack and prevent further damage from water and ice. If you have cracks that are more than ⅛-inch wide or driveway cracks that continue to grow, you should call in a professional driveway repair company to fix underlying problems—like insufficient support from the soil underneath—before filling in the cracks. An epoxy sealant is a better option for wider cracks after the surface is leveled and the underlying problem is fixed.

You have different options depending on the scale of repair needed. If you are repairing minor cracks that are between ¼ inch to 1.5 inch wide and less than half an inch deep, a self-leveling polyurethane sealant would be your best choice. Polyurethane sealants dry to the touch within one to two hours. Since they come in a tube applier, you also have the option to complete the repair without emptying out your garage.
