"They did a Great Job! And they showed up on time! They cleaned up all the branches and leaves. They removed a old elm tree that was in between two houses, had power lines, none even touched the wires! I would recommend this service to anyone! Robert and his crew were Very Good at what they do! "We had several trees that needed grooming and a couple of stumps removed as well as a dead tree cut down. Irvin was the first to respond and the only one that took notes and took pictures. He gave us a written quote at once. After having two other quotes we decided to go with Morales Tree Service. They did a fantastic job and cleaned up well. We will definitely call them again when our trees need some TLC. Picture of our newly shaped Oak Tree."

"They were very professional. Michael showed up the next day after requesting help from Home Advisor and gave me a fair price to cut down my tree and grind down the stump. The crew showed up on time and did a very professional job removing the tree and cleaning up my front lawn. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for tree services."

"It was alright but feel that the job was overcharged for the services received. Front tree looks good but lots of cut branches still hanging in tree. Side tree was barely touched and could use a little more trimming. Leroy was very polite and friendly but I would hesitate to recommend to anyone."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Yes, you should trim the lower branches of your maple tree for safety. Trimming maple trees as they grow helps lift the crown and canopy and trains it to grow straight up. A good rule of thumb is to prune enough branches to leave 6 feet of clearance under the tree.

You can shape a cherry tree by trimming vertical branches, dense branches, and intersecting branches. Your personal aesthetic comes into play, as well. If you want to simply thin and shape the tree, you can get away with trimming the aforementioned parts of your cherry tree. If you want to shorten branches, however, consider thinning cuts, which alter the length of the branches while encouraging light penetration, new buds and shoots, and a structurally-sound shape.

The best time to trim trees is in late fall through winter when the tree has slowed its growing for the year. Cold weather stops insects and fungal growth from attacking a new tree wound. Summer and fall are considered the worst times to trim trees, but it’s permissible in certain scenarios, such as tree disease, damaged branches, or small, aesthetic cuts.

The best way to protect tree roots is to avoid the roots entirely by excavating outside the root radius of the tree. For nearby projects, it’s a good idea to construct a temporary retaining wall. But that’s not always possible, depending on the project and the root system. In these cases, consider using alternative equipment like an auger to tunnel under the ground.

Remember, tree roots can damage nearby cement foundations as they grow. If a tree is close enough to interfere with large excavations, it may be better to remove the tree than risk future problems.

In most ways, palm trees are incredibly low-maintenance. They don’t need a ton of water—which is why they’re so beloved in desert regions—and they basically prune themselves. But they do need an ample supply of sunlight and to be in soil that will allow for proper drainage so that their roots don’t become waterlogged and at risk of developing illnesses.

If the plant begins to wilt, develop spots, or change color, these could all be signs that your palm tree has a disease. But a few basic treatments, like pruning and applying fungicide, will usually be more than enough to return it to perfect health.
