"So, my wife and I had it in our minds to stop paying someone else’s mortgage and start paying our own. After getting approved by the VA for a home loan (sidenote, that as an amazing experience from start to finish… I’ve heard horror stories about VA loans, but my experience could not have been anything more to the contrary. Even after the account was closed my Loan Officer Justin Darr still takes my calls if I have any questions.) they set me up with Summer Woods and I can’t even begin to tell you how grateful I am that they did. At first, I made a request of a few specific things that my wife and I wanted in a house, but it was just not possible in my location… Next step was to have a house built. Keep in mind that this is not only our fist home but out first home being built and in the current economy that’s a pretty anxiety inducing feeling, well, it would have been had Summer not been there with us. At no point in time was there an unreasonable delay in response to a question (weekend or not) or a question that may have seemed too silly. Literally, Summer was there at every step ensuring that we got the best deal on every point possible. Summer is amazingly nice and was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout this entire adventure… to us I mean, don’t get it confused, if it looks like someone is trying to get one over on her while trying to game the situation you will be called out and without any sort of clemency. In short, if I should ever be looking to buy another home or if anyone I like happens to be doing just that my first bit of advice will be handing them Summer Woods contact information with a simple “you’re welcome.”"

"I would not think of hiring anyone other than Steve Barrett as my Buyer's Agent. Mr. Barrett, a retired Lieutenant Colonel who has been in Real Estate for fourteen years, likes to get things done. We first contacted him from out-of-state toward the end of July 2019. We described our interests and timeline, and we asked for references. He responded promptly and thoroughly. We called two former clients and heard consistently positive reviews, so we decided to hire him. When we returned in August, Mr. Barrett had prepared a list of possible matches. As he is available to his clients every day, he took me to visit them on a Sunday afternoon. It was soon clear that none of the properties was a great match, but he was not impatient and did not push me. His goal is to find each client the perfect house, and he does not mind looking as long as it takes. Instead, he used each visit to learn more about our interests and to teach me to look at houses critically.
