I initially hired Isley's to install my A/C unit and continued with them for regular maintenance, even after the company became Patrick Riley. Their technician, Zachary Digiacomo, came to my house for a maintenance visit, spent about an hour inspecting the A/C unit, said everything was fine, charged $150, and left. However, the outdoor A/C unit stopped working the same day. I called the company to fix the issue, and Zachary came back. After another inspection, he claimed it wasn't his fault and that my recently installed A/C unit required $1,700 in repairs. I found this hard to believe and decided to get a second opinion. The new company discovered that Zachary had either lost or removed approximately 3 pounds of refrigerant from the system, causing the problem. They fixed the issue for just $540—a fraction of what Patrick Riley had quoted. I strongly advise against using this company and their deceptive technicians. They do not deserve your trust.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY OR GEORGE BRAZIL I had an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience with Patrick Riley during the installation of a new AC unit, which cost $17,000. I initially called George Brazil but was told their sister company Patrick Riley was available sooner. Despite the substantial investment, the service was far below what was promised and honestly worse than a McDonald's employee. We started off the day around 7am when Ivan rang my doorbell, upon answering I was given a finger to hold on as he was on the phone asking a buddy to bring him Ibuprofen (for what I can only assume was a hangover as he later laid in my lawn throwing up). This was just the beginning of a series of issues that made the entire process a nightmare. All three technicians entered and exited my house with their shoes on, leaving dirt and debris throughout my home. They were unprofessional and did not know what they were doing. I overheard the technicians discussing their mistakes and expressing uncertainty about how to complete various tasks. Their conversations included phrases like “It’s whatever”, "we can make that work" and “You need to put it on the bulb, the bulb, the bulb. You really gotta start learning these words." reflecting their lack of professionalism and knowledge when it came to installation. The installation, which was supposed to take the length of the work day, stretched to 13 hours and still wasn't completed (and isn't at this point, a week later). They left caulking on my floors and in the garage, without cleaning up or communicating either. They left my bathroom sink dirty and broke the soap dispenser in there, again with no communication. My driveway was a mess the entire time, with the contents of their three vans laid out across my cul-de-sac. I had run to the store to get them electrolytes in addition to the 6+ water bottles they each got, and they were so kind to leave the empty Body Armor bottles I had purchased sitting in the driveway for hours. I received no confirmation paperwork of this transaction (quite a shady business practice imo). They left the customer warranty booklet on a shelf in the garage rather than giving it to me directly and nobody taught me how to use the new thermostat. Additionally, there were white paint marks left all over my garage, driveway, and entryway, which they had admitted to knowing they left after the fact, but no communication was made to me. In the middle of the day, Ivan (who asked for Ibuprofen as he arrived) was found throwing up in my front lawn by my neighbors. No communication was made to me whatsoever, and he continued to touch my property (including my thermostat) with his unwashed hands. I'm a very reasonable person and am able to forgive a lot, but the lack of communication on all fronts is gravely unprofessional. Throughout the job, the technicians took multiple phone calls, some of which included the repeated use of the n-word in front of an underage child. They lied about many aspects of the job and have consistently failed to return my calls, providing excuse after excuse for why the issues have not been resolved. Based on my experience, I strongly advise potential customers to seek alternative providers. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. What was supposed to be a day has turned into over a week with no resolution in sight. The lack of professionalism, respect, and competence demonstrated by Patrick Riley is unacceptable, and I hope my review deters others from making the same mistake.

I am happy with the service provided by Patrick Riley Cooling Heating and Plumbing. My house needed multiple plumbing fixtures and several shutoff valves replaced. Patrick Riley used the same technician named Gilbert for the estimate and the actual work. The project cost was competitive with other estimates I received. Gilbert completed the work very skillfully and efficiently. GB

Brandon was awesome. He investigated why my sink was slowly draining, and it turned out to be a complex issue. He ensured I didn’t pay more than I had to, and spent much of his time getting the right fix for my budget. The issue was fixed and he was a great parter in getting the problem resolved. Highly recommended.

Had a leak in our utility closet thought it was the HVAC since no water on or around water heater. Called them and set up appointment they arrived very late. Person told us wasn't condensation from HVAC but back of water heater was leaking. He said they had plumbers on staff and can replace water heater same day for $1,400. Was weary as I did not feel or see any water leaking from the water heater. I told him that price was very high and would let them know. Then called our contractor who just finished a remodel on a rental property for us. He was nice enough to come out in a few hours and take a look. He agreed was not the water heater and proceeded to open up a wall where water was seeping in. Water was coming up through the foundation, concrete already begun to crumble and water damage all through out walls and floor around the utility closet. Cooper pipe had burst and water spraying out. Very upset they assumed was water heater without five minutes of investigating, just wanted a quick buck and would have wanted more after replacing the water heater to fix the real problem. Beware either incompetent or immoral.

No one likes to experience hot air blowing out of their A/C vents at the start of summer in Arizona. When that happened, my husband called me at work to let me know. I asked him to fetch an envelope from a bag in our room. He pulled out the Hawking Air information and gave me their number. I had entered a contest more than a year ago for a new A/C unit, and as a runner up had received a gift certificate with no expiration date. They were the first people I intended to call because at least I could save a little money. Hawking Air was bought out by Patrick Riley, however, they stated they would gladly honor the certificate. I scheduled for someone to come out ASAP. Within a few hours a tech, Oliver, was at our house. He took his time inspecting our dinosaur of a unit and came back down from the roof with some bad news, the compressor was shot. Even worse, being an older unit, it might take some time to find a replacement, and it wouldn’t be cheap. My heart absolutely sank. We decided to purchase a brand-new A/C instead. Oliver went over the available options very clearly, got us prequalified for a loan to cover the cost, and set up an installation for the very next day. We have 5 humans, 1 of them being elderly, and 4 furry family members, so time was of the essence. We couldn’t wait long, as temperatures were forecasted to be scorching within a few days. We only had to suffer one night in a hot house, thankfully it was only in the 90’s that day. The following day, Shane and his partner were at our house, removed the old unit, installed the new unit, and had cold air blowing out of my vents by the time I got home from work. Oliver stopped by with the financing paperwork, we signed on the dotted lines, Shane let us know he was done, we signed his paperwork, and both men thanked us for our business. Oliver said if we needed anything at all, to please give them a call and they would be out as soon as possible. Everyone that came to my house was incredibly polite, very professional, and genuinely awesome. I got yes ma’am and no ma’am and thank you ma’am. It was so refreshing to have such respectful individuals helping us in a stressful situation. Thank you, Patrick Riley, for making a very hot house, cool and comfortable! You will get our business from here on out and I will recommend your services to everyone that I know.

Service was just outstanding! This was a Friday afternoon, and the service tech (Aron) was at my home about an hour and a half after I initially called. It took him less than 5 minutes to diagnose and correct the problem (minor wiring error). Since it was so easily and quickly corrected, he performed the service as a courtesy because I was a prior customer. This was far above and beyond what I had expected, even for such an outstanding company as this.

It was great. It works now. That's the worst time in Phoenix for your A/C to go out and I know everyone is busy.

We had Travis F. come out to have our a problem looked at on my mother's furnace thermostat. The system was new, and still under warranty after having been installed by Patrick Riley earlier in the year. Travis was on-time, polite, and extremely helpful. Having contractors in the home can be a nervous thing for my elderly mother, and since I was not able to be there with her I was initially a little concerned. She loved Travis! He put her completely at ease and did all the maintenance needed on her heating system. I'm so thankful for the positive experience, and would definitely ask for him again in the future. (There was no cost for this service because we are still under warranty.)

Great job. Very responsive and very professional. The cost was a bit steep, but we checked around and found that Patrick Riley offered the best price for what turned out to be a very detailed/labor intensive job.

Someone came out within a couple hours after I called on a Sunday. My unit had to be replaced so I was provided a portable room air conditioner until the new unit could be installed. A quality inspector also came a couple of weeks later to check everything and answer any questions I had. Every one was on time, pleasant, efficient, and informative.

They came within 2 hours on a sunday and diagnosed the problem for only $50 service call fee. I decided to have my home warranty replace the part instead, but on monday, i couldnt get an apt until wednesday. So i called Patrick Riley back around 3pm on Monday, and after sitting on hold with me and the warranty company for over 30 min to get the repair authorized, they came back within 1 hr of the call. Replaced the motor in just over an hour. Only complaint is their price ($915) was significantly higher than, not only what the warranty agreed to reimburse ($275) which isnt shocking, but also higher than what internet research would say the job "should" cost ($400-$500). Also, I found the exact motor on amazon for $90. Thus, their price was pretty exhorbitant. Having said that, they were great to work with, very friendly and responsive, and helped me in a bind. I guess thats the price of convenience and good customer service.

My AC failed yesterday evening. I called for service shortly after 10 PM. Technician (Freddy) was on site by 11:30 PM, and diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes. Problem was fixed and AC was blowing cold air by 12:15 AM. Outstanding service!

Chris diagnosed everything and explained what should be done to correct it, by using a dye to find leak and re-configuring  the layout of the duct to correct the initial installers error.

The technician inspected my systems.  He quoted an OUTRQAGEOUS  price for reconnecting the flue pipes to my two units which were installed in 2013.   I threw him out of the house after paying the $50.00 I had agreed to pay for the inspection.  After having another technician come to the house it was determined that the technician from Patrick Riley had probably done the damage to my systems. Later, found out they work on commission not hourly so it is in their best interest to inflate the price as much as possible. This is an unscrupulous organization.   BEWARE!  Do not use them.

Tech arrived in Feb 2015 for Annual Spring Tune-up and recommended new fan motor (still functioning over a year later now) then returned in Nov 2015 for annual Autumn tuneup.

On both occasions, the Tech (sales rep) recommended replacing fan motor (which is functioning) - price for this increased from $492 to $903 - nearly doubled in 9 months.  He also recommended $6532 to repair system (all of which remains functioning) - or to replace entire split system for $9500-11,000 (for a 14-15 Seer unit) for an 1850 Square Foot House.  Tech also said oil was leaking in several areas but other companies later found no such leaks.

Several subsequent estimates with other AC companies were significantly less expensive (on estimates for new units) and showed no leaks and no need for immediate repairs.

Saved myself an unnecessary hit to my wallet and found other companies who do not pay their techs on commission.
