Small jobs welcome

"Kramer Moore of Do-Moore Handyman Services is one of the hardest working young men I've had the pleasure to meet. In addition to doing an excellent job at replacing my carpet with tile, he was extremely helpful in making sure that moving of furniture and goods was done carefully. He kept me informed at every step of the process. He's personable and efficient."

"We originally bought an Angie's List coupon for a day of contractor labor for $200. David Hunter came and spent an hour looking at proposed project, agreed we could do prep work to save money, and was pretty sure he could do the remodel in the time of 1/2 day two men (same as one day one man). He would bring an expert framer as the second man. We started prep work, opened our wall and found our first project unfeasible. David remained in contact, reminding us he owed us his labor. Today he came with a helper and installed a very heavy-duty tri-fold steel ladder for roof access. Did a great job, two men, half day (4hrs). I asked him to stay an extra hour and miter and install, caulk & paint some molding trim around the fold up ladder ceiling panel. And he also moved a light fixture that had been in the way of the install ceiling hole, and replaced it in better location. Last, he primed the caroling panel for me. Beautiful job. I paid him his fee if $60 for the extra hour ($30/man hr)."

"They got the job done right and clean. The price was way more than what it should?ve cost. Cost me an arm and a leg. They stay on you like leeches, you?ll have multiple sales men coming to your house. Crazy operation."

"We had a first-rate experience with this renovation team. They truly helped us realize the vision of what we imagined, and beautiful results were delivered. A home project of this scale is daunting to say the least and if issues arose they were addressed and resolved. We are absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out and would hire them again."

"I recommend A+ painting for the simple fact that the crew showed up to do the work that we agreed upon, they were professional, and endured some obstacles in my backyard, including some high winds, to complete the work."

"The salesman came out and quickly advised me that instead of replacing the windows and frames, which is what his company would do, I should call a glass replacement company. Extremely nice, professional and saved me from spending money I didn’t have to."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

Resurfacing a bathtub is less expensive than replacing one. Resurfacing a tub costs about $330 to $630, depending on the material, while replacing a tub costs an average of $4,150. But remember that resurfacing is a temporary solution for a worn-out tub, and you may need to refinish a tub every few years to keep it looking new.

While they’re heavier than their counterparts, cast-iron tubs are very simple to maintain. They have no seams and are durable, making them the easiest tub to maintain. While fiberglass and acrylic tubs are also relatively simple to maintain, they often have seams, making maintenance a little more difficult.

The order of your bathroom renovation should prevent damage to the completed work. Start with demolition and removing the old fixtures. Then, address structural repairs or water damage, if needed. Next, tackle the rough-in phase for plumbing and electrical work, install waterproofing, and work on wall treatments like tile or paint. Install your shower or bathtub, toilet, vanity, and sink. Flooring goes in after major fixtures but before the toilet. Lastly, install new lighting fixtures, mirrors, and other finishing touches as desired.

The most common type of tub is the alcove; most bathtubs are shower and tub combinations. Many suburban homes feature these as the default option because they allow the flexibility for users to take a bath or a shower—a notable benefit for those with pets and young kids.

Technically, yes, you can put a shower on a Roman tub, but it's not common. The vast majority of Roman tubs are standalone models. Adding a shower would involve installing a ceiling-mounted curtain rod or a custom glass enclosure, as well as redoing the plumbing, making it neither easy nor budget-friendly.
