"The pro was professional yet friendly. Not only was the kitchen light fixture installed, he had to troubleshoot another light in order for it to work. I will definitely call on AKA Electric for all my electrical needs."

"These folks are AMAZING! I scheduled with this company on 2 occasions but both times an emergency came up at work and I had to cancel the appointment. They were so patient and understanding of my cancellations. They gave me an opportunity to reschedule immediately or later at my convenience. I have never dealt with such professionals from the office staff to the mechanic who called to say he was on his way to my home! I will DEFINITELY will book with them for this service and every other future service! R. Sanchez"

"Construction R us did a total rehaul of the electrical on our house and they did a stellar job. I found them to be communicative and honest. It's sometimes hard to find pros who do work and who you can trust to give you an honest assessment but this company definitely fits that bill. They also did a great job working around our schedule. Additionally they patched the dry wall after they were done and they did such a good job texture and colour matching we didn't even need to paint."

Ev Charger Installer questions, answered by experts

Charging your EV every night isn’t always necessary. Most EVs have sufficient range to cover daily commutes without needing a nightly charge, particularly if you have a Level 2 charger. Charging once every few days or as needed can prolong the battery’s lifespan.

The cost of installing a 240-volt outlet for an electric car averages between $175 and $300. Depending on the type of outlet as well as labor costs, you might pay as little as $130 or upwards of $400. Hiring a professional electrician makes up the bulk of the expense but ensures a safe and code-compliant installation.

You can use outdoor electrical outlets to conveniently power landscaping equipment such as electrical lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and pressure washers. From a recreational standpoint, outdoor outlets are handy for powering electric grills, mini-fridges, and stereos. They're also helpful when it's time to string Christmas lights on your home and around your property.

You can plug your electric car into a regular 120-volt household outlet only if you’re using a Level 1 charger. This method is slower and may take several days to fully charge your EV. For faster charging, you’ll need a Level 2 charger, which requires a 220- or 240-volt outlet.

Setting up utilities on a vacant property usually takes at least a few months, or between 6 weeks to 16 weeks. This process requires working with the local planning and zoning department, hiring a building contractor or engineer to design the utility layout, securing permits, laying the lines, and connecting the utilities.
