"We hired Unique Design to remodel our kitchen as well as refinish ceilings and walls in other areas of our house. When I started the process with the owner, Alan Pando, I found him to be very personable, engaging and straight-forward. We worked through an itemized project work scope and he provided detailed pricing for each item of that work scope. When work started the crew showed up on time and worked to the defined stop time. Each day the work area was cleaned up prior to the workers leaving. The Unique Design personnel were very amicable and professional. They were always willing to work with us with things we needed to do in the normal conduct of our lives. From the time the work started until the time it ended, there were workers on the job every day of the work week. Early on, after the work had started, we decided that the floors needed to be redone. Not only did we want the floors redone in the existing work area but also in other areas of the house. Alan was very amenable to working with us on this new work scope. He quickly provided us with costing and he was able to make adjustments to accommodate the significant increase in schedule. Also, as with any big project, not all things go exactly as planned. Throughout the process Alan worked with us to make any necessary changes, adjustments and in some cases do overs. He and his crew were very attentive to detail and it was abundantly clear they wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied with all aspects of the work. We are ecstatic with our new kitchen and all the other work that was done. It is absolutely amazing. Alan was true to his word from beginning to end. His costs were exceedingly fair and he delivered everything he said he would and beyond. It was a real pleasure doing business with him. "These people are great. They provided a competitive bid which we reviewed to three other companies and accepted. They explained how they would do the work and why they made the recommendations that they had made. They communicated with us between bid acceptance and job day to let us know their progress. They arrived on time. Their truck and tools were clean and organized. They prepped our home with plastic sheeting and tarps to collect any debris that may have fallen. They removed all of the sheeting, tarps etc and took it with them. They completed the task in less time then expected yet provided a greater r factor insulation (deeper fill) than the bid required.
