"This was a trial job before a potential kitchen removal. It involved moving our boiler a short distance, walling off the area, fixing the floor, some electrical. The Babcock family themselves professional but didn't follow thru with the subs. The subs were only concerned with doing the fastest, cheapest job they could do (classic example is on the plumbing rework, the plumber substituted PEX for copper and the former isn't rated for the latter job)."
"The quality of work is phenomenal. Amazing customer service. My kitchen needed a good upgrade and I could not be more pleased with the end result. Hiring KRCS Construction was the best decision I ever made. I never want to leave my kitchen it came out so beautiful. Kevin made is so so easy and stress free. I will definitely recommend to everyone I know, as well as hire this company again when its time to finish the master bathroom!"
"It was fabulous, we were happy with it. They came in very professionally, very courteous about my house, they covered everything, they were early, a and they worked all day and very careful. I would highly recommend them to anybody."
"They did a good job. She had to submit like a photo but my daughter had them work on the central are of the loft. The deal was for one room. She got a lot of good ideal from her and it was worth it for her. They were professional and I did not hear anything negative."
"I feel extremely fortunate to have found Vicki through Angie's List ! She is an extremely talented person who is very easy to deal with. She has a breath of knowledge that allows her to accommodate my tastes, but also ensure that the overall design is in sync with the design and location of my home. She has a very diplomatic way of suggesting when I'm going astray with my choices and in every case where she has told me "Trust Me" I have been delighted ! She is very aggressive in helping me find the best pricing and often times will work with the vendors directly hence saving me the time. She also has excellent local contacts. Everyone I've worked with through Vicki has been timely, professional, and highly competent. My project is far from complete. I intend to continue to use Vicki and her expert advice until the end !!!!"
"We needed someone to install tile around the bathtub at an apartment unit we own. Joey at 2 Daughters Handyman came to the rescue. He quoted us a fair price based on what we could see. However, once he started the work other complications were discovered such as mold behind the existing wall. Joey and his crew were able to take care of each issue and charged us a fair amount for the extra work performed. We were very impressed with his willingness to get the job done in a timely manner. He even went to two or three places on his own to find the tile we wanted. We will definitely use 2 Daughters again and would recommend them to anyone needing his services.
"The section was replaced well, but the texture doesn't match the surrounding wall very well. I think it may look better if I sand it and repaint, but I think they should have done a better job."
Bathtub Restoration questions, answered by experts
We don’t recommend using a tub liner to cover up cracks in a bathtub. Instead, you should repair the cracks yourself if you have the experience or hire a pro. Cracks may seem like small surface imperfections, but they can lead to much larger issues, so repair them as soon as you can.
A bathtub liner is a one-piece insert that goes on top of your tub to conceal cracks, blemishes, and discoloration. Liners are made from acrylic or PVC plastic. It’s best to purchase a custom bathtub liner that matches your existing tub's size, shape, and contours, but premade liners are less expensive and also get the job done. Some bathtub liners come with a wall or shower surround to refurbish the area above the bathtub.
Yes, professionals can customize concrete surfaces with a variety of decorative options. Common choices include stamping, staining, polished concrete, and exposed aggregate to enhance the aesthetic appeal.
Typically, you need to wait two to three days after reglazing before using your bathtub. This allows the epoxy resin to cure properly. However, the exact time can vary depending on the materials used. Some quick-dry epoxy kits cure in as little as 12 hours, while others may have a four-hour cure time, allowing for same-day use. To ensure the epoxy dries correctly, ventilate the bathroom well. Always check the manufacturer’s instructions and consult with your reglazing professional for specific guidance on when it is safe to use the tub.
When buying caulk, look for ones labeled for tub and tile. These have either acrylic latex or silicone compounds. This allows the caulk to stick to smooth surfaces and prevent mildew from forming.
