"I needed my master bedroom ceiling fan replaced since the fan motor burned out. ZNJ sent two technicians out promptly and they were able to remove the old ceiling fan and light kit quickly and got the new fan and light kit I had purchased installed. The fan I purchased had a couple of â quirksâ in the mounting, but the ZNJ techs were able to solve the problem quickly and the new fan and lights look lovely and are working perfectly. The techs were very courteous, did an excellent job, cleaned up the work area, took the old fan and light kit with them, and removed the box and packing for the new fan which I greatly appreciated. I will definitely be calling ZNJ in the future when the need arises. Well done!"

"It went extremely well. Kristen and Raul arrived promptly and started to work straight away. They assessed the job (range hood installation, electrical outlet and wireless security cameras installation. For each service many adjustments had to be made to my existing area. They tackled it head on and got it done. They were very respectable to me as their client and answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend these young men for whatever the project might be. Once the project is complete they make certain that the area is clean. Most importantly, their rates are most reasonable. They're going to be my go to maintenance team."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Blower fans are better for preventing mold growth than dehumidifiers because they target the damaged areas and increase the rate of evaporation, which dries out the building materials. Ideally, you should run blower fans and a dehumidifier, as this will allow the fans to move dry air over your damaged building materials, drying out the space even more quickly.

Fan power is measured by CFM, or cubic feet per minute. For every 1,000 feet of square footage in your attic, you need a minimum of 700 CFM. Steeper roofs may need larger fans or about 840 CFM.  You can figure the size of attic fan you need by multiplying the square footage of your attic floor by 0.7. (multiply by 1.2 for a steep roof and 1.15 for a dark roof). That number is the CFM required for your fan to run efficiently.

Solar attic fans work in winter, but they serve a different purpose than they do in summer. During the colder months of the year, these fans improve air circulation within your attic, which helps remove condensation and moisture to prevent mold growth and protect your insulation and the structure of your home.

A whole-house fan works best to pull chilled and dry air into your home in the early morning hours and at night. This system allows you to close your windows after turning off the fan and trap the cool air inside. You can run your whole house fan continuously for maximum ventilation and fresh air, or you can turn it on for ten minutes or so at a time to introduce cool, fresh air as needed.

Most people describe the sound of an unbalanced ceiling fan as a buzzing or grinding noise. This is caused by the parts of the fan rubbing or rattling against each other as the blades spin. However, a wobbling fan can also make squeaking, rattling, or thumping sounds, depending on the severity of the balance issue.
