"The service went very well.  I called and asked if a plumber could come and change our expansion tank off of our hot water heater and was told that the plumber would be there between 1 and 3.  About 15 minutes before 1, the plumber called and asked if he could come by.
The service at the house went well and he used buckets and towels to make sure he didn't spill water everywhere.  The water that did drip on our garage floor was cleaned up before he left.
They accept credit cards and are very professional, I'd use them again!

Bath Fitters was responsive and sent an estimator to our home to show what they could do improve our old tub and master shower.  It was a lot more expensive than I anticipated and the shower stall in the master bathroom was just as expensive as the full tub replacement in the family bathroom.  Strange, because we put safety bars in the full bath.  It took three weeks to get the custom order materials delivered, but boy was it worth it!

My shower door is beautiful; it looks like something out of the design magazines (clear glass, not a lot of chrome, thoroughly modern).  The master bath looks beautiful and I could not be happier or more proud of our redesign.  The greatest thing is that Bath Fitters also replaced our bath plumbing and fixtures.  They found a spot in the shower with mildew in the wall and halted work.  After getting it inspected by a licensed plumber, we were able to validate that it was not an outside leak.  After the wall was dry, the Bath Fitter technician removed the damaged material, and still finished the entire job on time.

I called later about a cosmetic concern that I thought might be more serious.  The Technician showed me the problem and ensured that the fix was acceptable before he left my home.  I could not be happier with my decision to remodel the tub and shower.  I feel like my 1980's home just finally came into the new millennium!

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Functional plumbing emergencies like burst pipes take priority for local contractors, pushing cosmetic upgrades back during the busy winter season. When planning a cosmetic fixture upgrade in NM, you must address the underlying hard water quality to prevent rapid mineral buildup. Even simple aesthetic changes require careful execution, as disconnecting supply lines triggers strict code requirements to ensure your mountain home remains safe and functional.

Helpful?

Planning plumbing requires careful attention to frost depth and freeze protection. Homeowners in Angel Fire frequently underestimate the need for extensive pipe insulation, heat tape, and drain-down systems. You must also account for contractor availability, as local professionals experience heavy demand during winter emergencies. Always plan your timeline carefully, since securing necessary permits and scheduling certified specialists takes longer than expected for non-emergency work.

Helpful?

Any issue compromising freeze protection requires immediate attention before the first hard freeze hits Angel Fire. You must address slow drains, unusual pressure fluctuations, and leaking exterior walls right away to prevent severe winter emergencies. Schedule cosmetic upgrades and non-emergency plumbing for the warmer months between May and September, when outdoor access is easier and local professionals have more availability.

Helpful?

Dropping your thermostat too low during winter absences causes severe damage to plumbing. You should maintain adequate heat to prevent burst pipes during extreme cold snaps in Angel Fire. Avoid using harsh chemical drain cleaners, which accelerate corrosion in older pipes. For properties on septic systems, flush only biodegradable items and address slow drains immediately to prevent system stress and early failure.

Helpful?

Robust freeze protection is the most critical factor for lasting plumbing in New Mexico. You must incorporate appropriate pipe insulation, accessible drain-down points, and heat tape on vulnerable runs. Hire local professionals who understand high-altitude pressure variations and deep frost lines. Properly managing hard water minerals and installing automatic shutoff valves for vacant properties will dramatically extend the lifespan of your entire system.
