"For the initial consultation Mr. Varela arrived on time. He took time to listen to the whole story about my roof and the failed attempts to fix a leak I had going directly into my kitchen. The main priority was established to fix the leak in the roof before anymore damage was done. Later the metal roof was installed and I am very pleased with my new roof! Mr. Varela and his crew are all very professional and very courteous. The workers always asked permission to access areas where this was a gate and when finished you couldn't find a scrap anywhere. No detail was ignored as far as dealing with everything on the roof such as antennas and my swamp cooler. Very well done! Thank you so much Fort Selden Roofing! "I strongly caution anyone considering Reliant Capitol as a contractor for home improvements. My wife suffers from Alzheimer’s and we needed to replace a shower with one that included safety bars and a removable shower head. The salesman assured me the work could be done quickly (start in 1 to 2 months) and that installation was a two day process. After 4 months of no word from Reliant Capitol I started phoning their installation office in Phoenix to see why there was such a long delay. Initially my calls were not returned, but through persistence I was eventually able to speak to someone in charge of installations. I expressed extreme displeasure with the lack of communication about our job and told them going forward they should inform me about any more delays or changes to the schedule. Despite their promises to do a better job, the next two months it took to install the shower were a series of broken schedules with no communication from the company. I specifically asked the installation not be started until all the necessary materials were on hand because our need to have access to a shower. Shower installation ballooned from 2 days to a month because the job started with incomplete and incorrect fixtures and they did not send shower doors. The installation crew would often promise to be back the next working day to complete the job, but it would be weeks before hearing from them again. The installation may well have taken longer had I not been on the phone demanding action. By the end of the job I wish I had never heard of Reliant Capitol. There is nothing reliable about this company."

"Matt and his team was professional and on time. When he said he would get everything done in a little more then a week I was doubtful...13 windows and 2 doors....But him and his team worked hard and fast and did an awesome job. We're very happy with the results! While on site he even took the time to fix our front door that wasn't closing properly.....no extra charge...just really good client service! Around here a lot of "nicer" houses has wood frame windows but here at over 7000 feet the sun is brutal on them. When Matt told me he used vinyl I was hesitant at first thinking back on what vinyl windows used to look like...but I was very wrong...or just 20 years off. The woodlike finish on his vinyl windows looks great and at a glance you wouldn't even take them for vinyl windows at all. I would definitely hire him and his team again...and I might actually do so for some patio work in the future! (I tried to take some photos but it's hard when it's so bright outside. But at least you get an idea of what it looks like)"

You should stain your home's cedar siding every three to seven years for maximum protection and to maintain its appearance. Homeowners who live in harsh climates with high humidity and lots of direct sunlight should plan staining every three years, while those who live in milder locations can plan on seven. In particularly harsh climates, consider using an opaque stain variety for the longest-lasting protection.

Siding is one of your home’s first lines of defense against extreme weather. If you fail to repair or replace your damaged siding, your home is exposed to wind, snow, and rain—all of which can cause structural damage. Repairing your home’s structure will be much more costly and be a much bigger headache than simply keeping your siding in tip-top shape, so don’t delay—fix your siding ASAP.

Although dish soap will work to clean some of the grime off the aluminum siding, it may not kill mold and mildew as efficiently as a cleaning solution you can buy at a hardware store. If you have oily or greasy substances on the aluminum siding, rather than mold and mildew, dish soap should work extremely well.

Mildew grows into porous wood, making it more difficult to remove than regular dirt (and more destructive). We suggest using a dedicated mildew and mold fungicide to remove mildew, which is found in any local home improvement store. Apply a dose of the fungicide to the siding and leave to work according to the instructions, usually for an hour or two. Then wash it thoroughly away and scrub the spot again. Repeat the process if necessary. If nothing is removing the mildew stains, you should plan on removing those clapboard planks in time, as their damage could cause future problems.

Fiber cement siding is one of the lowest-maintenance options. The material’s formula is resistant to insect activities, moisture, and most physical impacts. Vinyl and aluminium siding is also fairly easy to upkeep. All these low-maintenance options only require basic surface cleaning, caulking, and regular gutter maintenance to prevent water dams from forming.
