The best plan of action for an unhealthy or unsafe tree will depend on its condition. An arborist can recommend whether trimming or removal is the right call for your tree. Preventive tree trimming can keep trees safe and healthy, so make regular tree trimming a part of your yard maintenance plan.

Trees that have grown with a lean for years are not dangerous, though the added weight to one side could cause an issue eventually. Things are more tricky with trees that seemingly developed a lean overnight. If one of these plants is leaning more than 15% from vertical, consider transplanting or straightening the tree.

You might get flat fees for more straightforward services, like a tree assessment, tree removal, stump grinding, and one-off treatments, but many times, treatments for tree diseases or pests will be charged based on an hourly rate or a per-visit rate.
