"Beware of Shady Practices and Overcharging I had a very disappointing experience with New Method Restoration and feel compelled to warn others. When they came to assess the damage to my home, their primary focus seemed to be on scrutinizing my homeowner's insurance policy rather than the actual damage. It became clear that their quote was based on what they thought my insurance would cover, not on the actual scope of work needed. Not only was their approach opportunistic, but they also overcharged outrageously for the work. Their scare tactics made it seem like I had no other choice but to hire them, but in hindsight, I wish I had taken my time to get a second opinion. Their lack of transparency and professionalism was a major red flag that I regret overlooking. To make matters worse, after the job was completed, they refused to provide the promised pictures and detailed report. "Lesson learned. Always get an estimate. BEFORE the work is done. At least a digital copy. Arrangements for the project were made, with some one named Lynn, for the company to send someone to complete the work. We were quoted over the phone 4500-5000 which included a mold test. A sub contractor with an entirely different company (National Mold Company) was sent. When the contractor arrived, he stated that the job would be much more simpler than first thought. This led us to believe that the job would cost less, no. All said and done, they charged $5500. All said and done, it's almost like no work was done. The stains and the smell are still there. Only one actual board was taken upon the attic room. The ceiling in the bedroom was primed and painted but are still visible and have a funky smell. At this point I'm going to. Do what we should have done; Do the job ourselves. Just now with $5500 less dollars in our pockets. A detailed receipt was not given even though it was requested."

"AMS is our HERO. The city sewer backed up and filled one third of our basement just before kickoff on Super Bowl Sunday. By halftime George had arrived. He calmly assessed the situation, and set up a time to return the following morning. His workers were polite, professional, and meticulous, and did an unbelievable job of cleaning up a horrible mess. By the end of the day the damaged items, sewage , and much of the smell was gone. Huge fans and a germ-killing ionizer ran for three days. When they were finished the floor was bone dry and absolutely clean. It occurred to us that the floor could not have been better cleaned if it were being prepped for painting. So we will be doing so.
