"Michael installed 2 sets of double doors in my bedroom. My house is over 60 years old, so nothing is straight, level, or equidistant. I knew that the installation would be difficult and i was concerned that the finished product wouldn't look perfect. Michael couldn't just pick up a set of prehung doors and shim them in, he had to custom build the entire thing, and he performed nothing short of a miracle in getting the 4 doors to be level and without any gaps. I'm extremely happy with the result and I would absolutely hire him again. He was also very responsive throughout the entire process, answering emails and phonecalls without delay. "My wife and I recently had the pleasure of working with National Home Improvements for a siding, window, and gutter home improvement project on our house. We were thrilled with the quality of work and the excellent customer service that was provided by the owner Ralph and his team. Right from the start, Ralph was very responsive to our needs and concerns. He listened to our suggestions and offered advice to ensure that the project was completed to our satisfaction. We were also impressed by his transparency and willingness to work with us on pricing, making sure that we stayed within our budget providing the most competitive pricing out of all the quotes we received. It's worth mentioning that out of the four contractors and three quotes we received for this project, National Home Improvements was the only contractor that consistently followed up and showed a genuine interest in the project. One contractor never got back to us with a quote after spending time with us discussing details of the project., which made our decision to work with Ralph and his team an easy one. One of the highlights of the project was working with Charles, who installed 17 windows along with trim in record time. He was efficient, detail-oriented, and a true professional in every sense of the word. We were amazed by his expertise and dedication to getting the job done right. We also had the pleasure of working with Luis and his siding team, who worked tirelessly from 8am to dark every day in the chilly New Jersey February weather. They were approachable and always willing to answer any questions or concerns that we had. We greatly appreciated their hard work and dedication to making sure that the project was completed to our satisfaction. Additionally, they made sure to clean up the site every day, which was a nice touch. One thing that really stood out to us was Luis's attention to detail. For example, we planned on reusing our existing shutters, Luis noticed that three pairs were too long for the windows, which would have looked odd if they had been installed as-is. Luis brought this to our attention, and we were able to reuse most of our existing shutters and replace the three pairs that were too long. We were grateful for Luis's sharp eye and expertise, as it saved us from making a mistake that would have marred the appearance of our home and bothered me every time I drove up the driveway. It was a stark contrast to a contractor we worked with previously who had installed these shutters that were too long and never mentioned it to us. I must also mention the exceptional work done by Bruno and the gutter installation team at National Home Improvements. The installation was completed in one day, and we hardly noticed the team was working because they were so quiet and efficient. We opted for 6-inch round gutters, which turned out to be a great decision. We recently had a big storm, and our new gutters performed perfectly. The old 4-inch gutters would have overflowed, causing possible damage to our home. In the interest of fairness and transparency, I must also mention an issue we had with an outside electrical receptacle that did not meet our expectations. Ralph immediately connected us with an electrician the same day to assess the situation. By the next day, a proper outside receptacle and weatherproof box were installed to our satisfaction. The electrician did a great job, and we were very pleased with the quick resolution of the issue. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the work that National Home Improvements has done on our home. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to work with us to ensure our satisfaction were truly second to none. "I hired Steve initially to replace my Bilco basement door but found that he was a lot more than just a door installer when he pointed out several flaws in my finished basement so I hired him as my basement building contractor to ensure that the basement is redone with all permits and correct all issues. Steve took the challenge and did an excellent job of not only coordinating everything smoothly but did everything perfectly. He is highly ethical and takes a pride in doing his job perfectly. He works with his son. Thanks to Steve that now I have my basement with all permits and certificates and completely with code that I can have a real peace of mind. The basement looks much more beautiful than it was previously and Steve worked in my Budget. Apart from basement, Steve fixed my rotten bay windows that now look beautiful and created lot of shelving in my basement for storage, and many other small but necessary items. "Very well. I had siding and gutters put on my house by A K Gatsios. The man and his workers were great. He came with a small army of guys who worked on the four sides of the house at the same time, skillfully cutting and placing the siding, three floors coming to a peak, in just two days. Being retired I would spend time outside with neighbors watching from time to time and all were impressed at their work. All the men were skilled and Mr. Gatsios was there the entire time watching and involved in the work himself, cutting pieces and otherwise helping out, eyeballing anything that might not be up to his standard. I asked Mr. Gatsios not to put siding on some of the trim on the front of the house because I didn't want to have to nail into it to put up holiday decorations and he made some suggestions that were helpful in that regard.
