"After we consulted with Joanna regarding our garage organizer, we were so impressed with her ideas and expertise that we decided to also have Bella Systems install a closet organizer for us. We are extremely happy with the results. Having looked online at the cost of do-it-yourself organizers, hiring a professional to do the work was well worth what we paid. The installers showed up on time, worked efficiently and completed both projects in the time frame we were promised. Plus they vacuumed and dusted after they were done. We would definitely recommend Bella Systems to other homeowners."

"Anthony Nastasi, hired by me to rebuild our decaying bay window, did a terrific job. When he came out to survey our prospective job, he listened closely to what we wanted, took notes, did measurements, and made suggestions. Later that day he sent my a proposal, detailing the materials and total cost of the project. Ultimately, the final cost was only about $300 more as additional material was needed. Mr. Nastasi worked a full day each day he was here. He also was honest and direct - he told me when he would arrive in morning, and he did. He told me when he had to complete another job so he might have to leave early or miss a day. Many Subs aren't professional enough to simply tell the truth. He always did. I am extremely happy with the quality of the work he did, the time frame in which he completed the job and, most importantly, how it looks. I would unequivocally recommend Anthony Nastasi to anyone. "Closettec did an amazing job on our master bedroom walk-in. The designer consultation was quick and smooth. They designed our layout on the spot after taking measurements and I later sent in some modifications. They sent back the designs next day and we approved the project. It took about 2-3 weeks for the closet to be custom cut at their facility and about 2 hours to install. The quality looks great and we are very happy with the end product. As a side note, their office manager is very responsive and offers excellent customer service."

"I hired Andrew to complete two small jobs for me fairly quickly as I am trying to sell my home. I was looking to have a banister installed in my basement as well as having a closet sheet rocked. Andrew's quote was extremely fair and he really delivered.. He was prompt, courteous, and cleaned the workspace thoroughly when he was finished. The two projects look great, and most importantly in my case were completed quickly. I cannot recommend Andrew highly enough and look forward to working with him on projects in my new home"

Small jobs welcome

"Before I met Mr. Sanders, I spoke to several contractors who said it was an extremely difficult job to install a new door in my wide and deep doorway. They all said they didn’t know what they might find behind the existing trim and walls. Mr. Sanders said he could do the job with no hesitation. He arrived a few minutes early and immediately got to work. He was polite, diligent, thorough, neat, efficient, and respectful of my home. And unlike the other contractors who quoted outrageous prices, he painted both sides of the door, all the new trim and removed all debris. I am thrilled with his workmanship and professionalism. I will definitely hold onto his card for future projects and would recommend him to anyone who demands quality work at a reasonable cost."

Closets questions, answered by experts

Built-in furniture maximizes space, offers a tailored look, and enhances room functionality.

The time it takes to build a closet varies widely depending on the project's size, complexity, and level of customization. On average, construction can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks.

A simple reach-in closet might be completed in less than a day, while a more complex walk-in closet could take one to two days or more. A typical project often falls in the 2-to-5-day range. However, a large, highly customized walk-in closet that requires structural changes, like moving a load-bearing wall, will take significantly longer.

A professional contractor can provide the most accurate time estimate for your specific project. If you are planning a DIY build, it is best to budget additional time.

A foyer or entryway is typically a formal landing area for guests, located at the primary entrance of a home. It is often more formally decorated and connects directly to the main living space. In contrast, a mudroom is a more casual, utilitarian room, usually leading in from a secondary entrance like a garage or the side or rear of the house. It serves as a space for residents to remove shoes and outerwear to keep mud, dirt, and water out of the main home.

Yes, adding a built-in or custom closet generally increases your home's value and makes it more attractive to potential buyers. A well-designed closet adds utility, organization, and a touch of luxury, which are appealing selling points. Most homeowners see a return on investment (ROI) of 50% to 60%; for example, a custom closet can add about $1,000 to your home's value on average. The specific ROI depends on the type, with custom walk-in closets typically providing more value than reach-in closets. However, to maximize value, ensure the closet doesn't significantly detract from the room's usable square footage. Converting an entire room into a closet can actually lower your home's value. Similarly, using overly lavish materials may not recoup their cost. A good strategy is to add a closet that takes square footage from a non-living area, such as a garage, to create a mudroom closet.

Walk-in closets are always the biggest and can easily be more than 100 square feet. Primary bedroom closets, even if not walk-ins, are the second largest category in most homes and sit between 30 and 80 square feet. Linen closets, utility closets, and built-in closets are smaller and, depending on their usage, tend to be between 10 and 50 square feet.
