"Aside from a glitch with the supplier which delayed the installation, we couldn't ask for a better end product. Kara, the company owner, was responsive and very helpful whenever we needed it. The workmen were professional and did an outstanding job installing the fence in 3 hours, well within the expected timeframe for it, and they removed the old fence and cleaned up very well after completing the installation. We would gladly recommend Infinity Fence and their excellent work."

"Jeff at Nova was great to work with. He listened to what I wanted, provided feedback, and together we agreed on a plan. His quote was clear and complete and while it was not the cheapest, it was reasonable for the work. He proactively provided his insurance coverage which I found very professional. While we did have a few hiccups (equipment delay) during the project, Jeff kept me informed and was present on the job site. He and his team completed the work in a reasonable time and left the site clean and fresh. My wife and I are both very happy with outcome."

Animal Fencing questions, answered by experts

Moles breed once a year, marking March on their calendars as peak season. However, their breeding season can start as early as February and wrap up in May. Their gestation period is 4 weeks, with litters ranging from 2 to 6 little ones. They are considered all grown up by the three-month mark, making them ready for parenthood.

If the cat is stray (you noticed a collar or other signs of domestication), the kind thing to do is to try and find the owner. Call around to other neighbors to see if they can lead you in the right direction. If you can get close enough to snap a picture, try posting an image of the cat to local community groups and pages on social media.

If the cat is feral, you can try to humanely trap them and participate in a local shelter’s TNR program. Before attempting capture, call around to local rescues and shelters to make sure one near you does participate in a TNR program. They may even be able to catch the cat for you.

Yes, filling gaps can help with pest problems in your home. Sealing baseboard gaps reduces small-insect entry points into your home. Even tiny spaces provide pathways for pests, so addressing all gaps throughout your home creates a more effective barrier than spot treatments in individual rooms.

The cost of pest control services depends on various factors, but the average homeowner pays around $175, with a typical range of $100 to $500. Your final cost will be influenced by the type of pest, the size and severity of the infestation, and the number of treatments needed.

Service costs also vary by frequency:

  • One-time service: $300–$550

  • Initial visit for ongoing service: $150–$300

  • Monthly visits: $40–$70

  • Quarterly visits: $100–$300

  • Annual visits: $300–$550

For specific pest examples, getting rid of spiders typically costs between $100 and $300, whereas a termite infestation can cost from $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the extent of the damage.

While doggie doors are convenient for pet owners, they do offer a few drawbacks. For instance, they’re small enough that unwanted critters could come into the house, such as raccoons, snakes, rats, and insects.

They’re also large enough that small children can escape through them, which can be a serious concern to parents of young children.

Finally, doggie doors can make it difficult to regulate your home’s temperature because they constantly let in hot or cold outside air.
