"George Massoud of NJ Pest Defense did an EXCELLENT JOB. He was very informative, punctual, and knowledgeable in his field. From the phone call to the actual appointment he gets an A PLUS!! He explained in detail what he saw,.. looked in all areas inside and outside my home and suggested exactly what I needed. He explained everything he was doing to rid my home of the animals and also explained the bait traps and items bait used assured me they were SAFE and EFFECTIVE. George was VERY honest in his price as well. In this day and age it is hard to find an HONEST, FAIR, dependable and knowledgeable person in this field. I will DEFINATELY use NJ Pest Defense and highly recommend them as well."

"Due to the pandemic only outside pest control was carried out. Carpenter ants, spiders and such were addressed. I have a yearly plan. I have had their fabulous service for at least 6 years. This is the first time they didn’t treat indoor space but in the past they could be very thorough using essential oils that had a pleasant smell that dissipates and does the job extremely well. It is safe for humans and pets alike. Their service people from arranging an appointment to the professional who does the actual service are excellent."

"The exterminator showed up a bit late, but he was kind enough to call ahead and say he was going to be a bit late. He showed up with all the necessary materials. He engaged in a conversation to figure out the situation. And, then he got to work. He thoroughly vacuumed all areas in question, including inside a box spring. He did everything necessary to pretty much guarantee that the bugs (not bedbugs) would be gone within a few days. The last thing he did was spray the place."

"The sales were great and the young man that always came out to service was great.  They were even very pleasant to speak with on the phone.
Availability was tough, when there was an issue the service person would only be in my area one day per week, so if it happened on a Thursday, I would have to wait until Tuesday to see them.
I had an ant problem and it never really was resolved. I had the top package offered with everything except termite protection, yet when it was suggested to have stakes placed in the ground with some repellent or bait, they would not do it unless I paid extra. Pretty certain that should have been included in my plan. I even heard a "whisper" from one employee that it should be included in my plan.
When it came time to re-up my yearly service, the price increased by $200. After searching around, I phoned them and left a voicemail asking someone to call me back regarding the increase of the price and I never heard from them again.  Therefore I never phoned them again.
I would have used them again if the price could have remained the same and if they could have just included the in-ground stakes. I like the idea of eco friendly pest services and have used that type in previous locations, but this was the only one I could find in my area.

Bird Control questions, answered by experts

Pest control measures for bird and bat issues typically last from several weeks to months, depending on the effectiveness of the implemented solutions and the return of conducive conditions.

Keeping birds away from a porch can involve a combination of strategies. Start with cleaning your porch. Remove food, debris, and plants that may be attracting feathered friends. Afterward, install physical deterrents like netting or spikes. Next, top off your porch with a decoy or two—and owl or hawk works. When wondering how to keep birds off the porch, it is always best to use humane efforts that won't harm winged creatures or the environment.

There are DIY methods and store-bought pesticides available for the public to use. However, these pesticides also come with a risk, and you need to follow the directions correctly and take precautionary measures to prevent exposure to these chemicals. These methods may be an option for small pest problems, but you should call in a pest control specialist for persistent pests and infestations.

Methods include exclusion devices, netting, and sealing entry points. Professionals ensure compliance with local wildlife regulations.

Studies indicate that owls don't possess a conventional sense of fear. However, they find intense, sudden human noise unsettling, like clapping or shouting. Additionally, owls are likely spooked by sudden bursts of bright light. While they may not experience fear as humans do, these disturbances can disrupt their natural behaviors, making it essential to minimize such disruptions when sharing spaces with these remarkable creatures.
