Pool replastering is not something I would/could take on myself and therefore needed to get bids from different companies. Braz Masonry offered the best price and I decided to go with them, not only for the price but because I just got a good vibe from Roberto the owner. I was a little worried because I thought that, because of the lower quote, I would get hit with hidden extras to make up for the underbid estimate. The opposite actually happened. There was an unforeseen issue with my coping and there was an opportunity for him to make some extra money as I was already well into the project. Instead, I believed I got an extremely reasonable quote for this extra where I don’t think Roberto made any "

If you don’t clean your hot tub filters, they’ll build up dirt and grime, preventing them from filtering out contaminants like dirt and bacteria. The dirty water will then circulate through the filter and back into the hot tub, leading to dirty water, a damaged pump and jets, and low heat. This can lead to higher hot tub costs because you may have to pay for repairs.

To refill a hot tub after winter, start by opening up the tub and giving it a quick cleaning. If you use antifreeze, drain out the water then grab a hose and thoroughly clean the tub shell out, spraying water into each jet of the tub. 

Reconnect the hot tub and turn the power back on. When it’s time to fill the tub again, insert the hose into the filter well (if available). Avoid trapping too much air in the water lines, which can cause the pump to lock up when it starts again. Add the necessary chemicals and start the heating process. It will take some time—most of a full day—for the water to heat up again.

Most hot tubs use between 1,500 watts and 6,000 watts of electricity, depending on the voltage of your heater. 120-volt heaters tip toward the low end, and 240-volt heaters tip toward the high end. Expect your pump to add another 1,500 watts. Newer, energy-efficient models use less electricity, while older models use more.
