"The worst experience ever. The owner Mike treated me like I was an idiot and I was the customer. Makes excuses for everything. Shabby work and not customer service friendly at all! Original quote was increased by thousands of dollars. I had a final payment due to him that was held up from a HUD loan due to a CO required to release the funds to pay him. Had an electrical issue tied to my boiler that left my family with no heat based on work he did. He claimed he could not do anything without getting paid. My house and family were left with no heat and had to hire another person to fix his mistake. Nightmare. Stay away!"

Vinegar can be used as an all-purpose cleaner for many things, including hot tub filters. Soaking hot tub filters in vinegar and water for up to 24 hours can remove dirt and oil, and as a bonus, it won’t cause the water to foam after you reinstall it if there’s vinegar left on it. Some individuals choose to run their hot tub without treatment at all and simply clean it more often (although you risk bacteria, fungi, and algae growth if you take this route); others use natural products like vinegar or Borax. Ozone, ultraviolet light, and electrolysis systems are also eco-friendly ways to have a clean hot tub without chemicals. Saltwater hot tubs are popular with people who are sensitive to chlorine, bromine, and other traditional hot tub chemicals.

Follow these general safety tips for spas and hot tubs:

  • Keep your exterior electrical receptacles covered and dry, especially around your hot tub and pool during periods of use.

  • Make sure you have a GFCI (ground fault circuit interrupter) properly installed to ensure no one gets accidentally shocked or injured by electrocution. 

  • Don’t use the hot tub or your pool during a thunderstorm. 

  • Before using the hot tub, have a certified electrician thoroughly inspect your hot tub and its wiring to make sure you’re in full compliance with all applicable local building codes.
