We recently had a home inspection done by Frank Castiglione. We found Frank to be extremely attentive to every detail, and he explained things every step of the way. We received his detailed report within 24 hours of the inspection, and his findings ultimately saved us from purchasing a house that looked beautiful but had several underlying problems. We found everyone we communicated with at Real Estate Inspections to be friendly, courteous, and willing to take their time answering all of our questions. They were a pleasure to work with and we certainly recommend them.

Overall wonderful experience from the first phone call made to the follow up of the inspection the level of professionalism was top notch. We requested Grizz from a recommendation. He was amazing. Bill Koroncai had already arrived and begun the inspection when I got there. His knowledge, expertise, and professionalism were impeccable. We spent a little over 2 hours on the property and he inspected everything he possibly could from rooftop to basement with amazing precision. I was impressed with his knowledge of different aspects of the property in regards to the build/construction and materials. He made very professional suggestions. We used Real Estate Inspections’ services twice, once for a purchase which fell through and the second time for the house that we are buying. I hesitated to get the first inspection because I am skilled in DIY maintenance and did not see much that needed attention. The inspector spotted $10s of $1,000s in maintenance needs! The biggest benefit was having not just getting a heads up on what would need attention but also solid guidance on how to tackle various projects. We also negotiated $10,000 in allowances toward various repairs. Consequently, for the second house, there was no question about wanting/needing the inspector’s guidance. He again gave us a great road map for working through various maintenance needs. And we similarly negotiated about $10,000 in allowances toward repairs. Again, the real value is in knowing what needs attention, how to prioritize maintenance needs, products to consider, and questions to ask as we whittle down the list. And the inspector will be on call for any questions I have in the future! I can’t think of any service that has ever given me a better return on my investment!

It was a very good experience. Don Grisoff was assigned to the inspection and I thought he did a fine job - he was engaging, extremely knowledgeable and thorough. I accompanied him on the inspection and he explained his opinion/reasoning on what he saw good & bad. I pointed out one or two things that I thought he had missed and he was not annoyed and addressed them without rancor (I have been several home inspections prior to this one). I thought that the report was great! It was delivered in a very timely manner. The presentation was great - it was easily understood and I thought the back-up pictures were extremely useful. He gave me his business card and said that if I had any questions don't hesitate to ask. Based on my experience, would highly recommend REI. The price was right and I think that I got more than what I paid for.

I had a great experience working with Real Estate Inspections. Frank's help in setting up the inspection and his thorough explanation of what to expect really gave me confidence in the company. Scheduling was a breeze, too! Aaron was amazing during the inspection. He took the time to tell me what he noticed, what the issue was, why it should be fixed, and what kind of work is involved in fixing the issue. As a first time homebuyer I felt like I learned a lot and it really put me at ease with the inspection. I would hire them again in a second!

These guys were great. Courteous, responsive service from the first phone call. The inspectors were knowledgeable and thorough and not only answered all our questions but proactively offered their thoughts on what we were looking at. And al at a better price than others I spoke to.

The inspector was clumsy and extremely long-winded (more than necessary for thoroughness). There was a discrepancy between the reported and actual heat source for the upper level. When asked for an explanation of the error, the inspector simply stated 'he took my word for it, and only did a basic visual inspection.' I was under the impression that the estimated costs for any action items found would be more specific on the report, as I chose this company over several others based on this selling point (home was a fixer-upper). Only the very inexpensive items were noted in this regard, and even those had a very broad range for estimated cost. When I emailed the company listing my reasons for dissatisfaction with their service, there was no response. After inquiring with the company approximately a month later to see if they would offer a significant discount on another home inspection (plus termite and radon) at a different location by another inspector, I was offered the "very significant discounted price" of what ended up being $74 less than its many competitors' prices for the same services. I once again emailed the company letting them know I would be getting the inspection done by another company offering a money-back guarantee, and also asked for a full refund of my costs since I assumed they must offer something similar. Once again, no response.... hence my review.

11/26/17 REI inspector Aaron H. inspected a house for me. Thank GOD for him! His extremely through inspection provided me with information vital to my families safety as well as the headache of buying a house with many many thousands of dollars of issues. I thought 1253 E Lincoln hwy was a beautiful house but the information revealed by the good work of REI, showed it is way overpriced and unsafe. I will be using REI when I find the "right" house and will request Aaron as my inspector. Money well spent. PS... Patti ( who schedules the appointments) is AWESOME too

I can't recommend REI highly enough. I called and Frank got my inspection scheduled ASAP and well within my time frame. Pete did a very thorough inspection of the home, checking every system and detail, and answering every question I had. He then provided me with a detailed report within 48 hours, well organized, and included estimate ranges for repairs. If I purchase the property, Pete's report will become a dog-eared reference for years to come. The cost was reasonable for having three inspections (house, termite, radon) of a large, old home. Thank you Pete, Frank, and REI!

The inspector, John did a very thorough and detailed review of both the inside and outside of the entire house. The inspection took quite a few hours and John was always willing and eager to answer all of my many questions and concerns. He also wanted to make sure that I understood every step of this complex process. The report was extremely detailed and provided within several days of the inspection. It definitely helped me decide our next course of action. I would highly recommend this company for any Stucco or Home Inspections.

The inspector Eric Riehl was very detailed, responsive, friendly, gave full explanations and helped me with the decision. The report was excellent, supplied many photos. The only problem I had was with an overly cautious statement for a crack on the base of the house. It didn't seem like a big concern during the inspection but the report was written as it was a major problem. I understand that the Company has to protect itself from liability but also people rely on the inspection to make decision and often there isn't much more time for further investigation.
